Consider this situation....you are invited to a party by frenz you met through swinging, but its a normal drinks party with mainly non-swinging people. Whilst in the kitchen getting another bottle out of the fridge you strike up a conversation with Mr and Mrs Normal. Of course, they ask 'How do you know Phil and Irene?'. After a quick double take, as to you the hosts are known as Mr Loverocket and Miss Dynamite, you have to come up with a response. The trouble is you don't know if you are talking to work colleagues, neighbours, oldest schoolfriends, uni mates, or the people they go on holiday with EVERY year............
There are so many general socialising groups on the internet now, formed in MSN, , or other sites, that it's no stigma just to say that you got to know each other over the internet. I have used this a number of times with friends I got to know through various specific types of groups(not just swinging), and if anyone asks more, I just say through general chat or groups - most people don't press to know more.
