....are Clangers?

Their size is directly proportional to the noise they make when they land.
if you drop a little clanger it only makes a little noise.....a biggy.....well you get the picture

I think if we're talking our little soup eating alien friends they are either the size of a pair of sox or absolutly bloody humungous i meab huuuuuge maybe the size of Australia- what is the planet that they live on called - any idea? I don't know dunno

what you have to remember is that they live under dustbin lids in craters.
lost, originaly they were called moon mice......blue moon, you saw me standing all alone......dunno
i want one.
whips

How cool is that! I didn't know. I loved the soup dragon it was my favourite character
I also found the "Harp" was it? really really magical (as if the rest wasn't lol ) but I can't find a pic of that
If you look at their transmissions you will note that the horizon is curved. The planet must be large enough to maintain gravity, and an atmosphere. The gravity must be sufficient to stop things flying off. Say twice the size of the moon. Knowing this the clangers must be big, very big, for they appear that way against the size of the planet.
You will also notice that the planet is desolate. This may be the first and last contact with an alien civilization.
Perhaps a warning to us all on this planet?
Was it the musical instrument that gave them their voices, that also gave them their name? I remember being told it was called a clanger but not sure whether someone was pulling my chain. Or even my clanger rolleyes
I do not recall the name of the instrument, but it was a whistle with a plunger in it to very the length of the resonance chamber.
Before my time... sorry! :bounce:

they are the size of a dinky car.
in evidence i cite
i) their size related to the size of the knitting stitches on thir bodies.
ii) their size relative to the threads of blue string soup.
does anyone think they might make good pets, or depending on thier levels of independance, friends?

Ahhh but Ben hunny, aren't they made out of cargo nets? In which case, they would be huge
Blue string soup - the only blue string I know of is that nylon rope stuff, bout as thick as a small wrist.
Clangers are enormous I say ........... or are they normal size and us humans are just tiny specks?

Though that helps me not with the Clanger-thing.

Blue string soup? Was Bridget Jones a Clanger? She's a size 0 if that helps lp....
