How do friends work?

How does the friends section work?
Is it like an address book in email where you just keep a list of people you want to keep in touch with?
or is it like contacts in MSN where the person has to agree to be on the list.
I'm not asking cos I plan to stalk anyone confused

but we're new to this and are still a bit shy redface

We've got lots of little bits of paper on the desk with scribbled screennames on :small-print: and thought this might be a better way to do it biggrin

You simply add those you consider to be your friends and they are stored in the order you add them..
Then if you wanna pm them for a chat or summat you sinply go to the my friends section and click on contact biggrin

As mallock said and if im correct they dont know they are on the list its just like an address book for a quick access to mail ect.
Problem is for me they go on in the order you put them and then my real regular friends (yes i have some lol

) are at the bottom of the list.
Be nice if the bods could put them in alphabetical order or tab them :lol:

if they were alphabetical order, say your bestest friend on here is called Zoe or Zak, they would still be on bottom no????
