Hello all, Can I ask your advice please... I'm a single male (so few of those about I know). But I also have a friend that I see from time to time.. we are not a couple, but playmates. I'm sure that we all have such friends. What is the best way of letting people that a) I'm single, but that b) when I'm posting regarding meeting with my friend that I'm not "faking" (again, a lot of those about I know). I think I've been getting it wrong (is there a way to get it right?!) Happy new year to all. David
Hi David there is a sticky on the Cafe forum regarding this very matter. Maybe it would be best in your profile to put something along the lines of what you have stated above? This is not uncommon on the site and as such I don't THINK (best to check on the sticky though) your breaking AUP's by stating this and arranging the occasional meet up with other on the site with your "occasional swinging friend", hope this helps!! Welcome to SH Forums.
i believe that you are not alowed to advertise yourself as a couple if you have a single profile. even with the other persons consent. i am sure there is a postabout it somwhere if you do a search for it and its stated in the site aup about posting

Does that mean I'm doing something wrong then? I've never hidden the fact that I'm married to Angelica but I joined on me own years before she became interested. When they classified the accounts (I think when the 'takeover took place - maybe wrong on that) - I must've been classified as a (single - I presume) male - at least that's what I come up as in the chatroom. Angelica has a separate account. Must check me profile. :undecided: .

Get her to join, then when you want a meet, both of you advertise in LMU, ie Northants David and Martha (her name according to your profile) want to meet a couple blah blah blah.

It doesn't classify me as single. You're not really confused are you. .

Miss Marple...? isn't it interesting that when someone actually reads a profile they appear to be a super sleuth! :-) I'm tempted to use the word ironic... oh stuff it, I will.... Ironic. Anyway, all - thank you for your advice. I think its helped! Dave
Well it wouldnt have helped me David and thats not down to the kind members who have tried to answer your question. All very confusing, no wonder theres a sticky on it
Ok well that doesn't work - I tried a forum post and got this:
Post Removed Hi, I am one of the site moderators and just letting you know that your post for you and your friend has been removed. Because you have a single male profile, you cant actually advertise on here for another person. The only way you can put the ad on, is if you have a couples profile. Sorry about this, but the rule is there to protect people from singles who pretend to be couples (not that I think you are doing this)
Any other ideas?
