How Do I put a pic on a thread reply?

I want to reply to a forum post with a cartoon picture. How do I do it? Can I in fact do it at all?
I've hunted around and I cant find any info on this. Help?

Click on the Img icon on the compose message page (2 boxes to the left of the emoticons) to bring up ''.
Copy the image URL of the picture you want to include in your reply (right click - select 'copy image URL') and paste it after , then close with by clicking the Img icon again.

URL is the name of the web address the picture is located. You can't load pics straight from your pc to the thread. Best way it to store the image on a online server or picture sharer then copy the URL from there.
