How do I search for a user name?

Really sorry to post this rolleyes

but I have looked in Advice, Help and searched the forum posts but to no avail.
How do i find the profile of a member when i know their exact user name? Tried in My Search too and didn't seem to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....being a thick tart obviously this morning. :violin:

For those who would like to know what Sassy & Blue are keeping a closely guarded secret, in 'My Search', you just enter the profile name in the text box and search on the defaults.

I think I'm in an even worse mood than yesterday.
I met my first SH member for a drink and meal at the begining of this week and the experience and the email-after-shocks have temporaryily damaged my spirits.

Sorry Liaisons, you're right, I had PM'd Sassy before I posted this thread so she repied to my PM then I hurried offline.
Thanks for letting everyone on the Forum know though, it was no secret (even though I do have a few :grin: )

Yes so do I. At least I know I'm grumpy.
I did some retail food therapy yesterday and that helped, trouble was there was an offer on 1 litre of Famous Grouse and I feel the worse for it now.
I will try retail (non food) therapy tomorrow morning and some good old fashioned exercise over the weekend.

No secret at all. I read my pms before checking the forums so saw that before this.

On the original topic --
If you use the "my search" tab on the user menu, enter the name or just part of the name in the "text" box and hit "search" at the bottom of the page you will usually get something helpful. This will mostly be a list of users who have that name or name fragment in their username or in their advert.
Beware that if all you can remember of the name is that it has "sexy" in it you will get a cast of thousands as a result!

here's what i do if i know the exact name.
View any old profile biggrin

, then replace the "m=087879" with "u=username" and that'll give u the profile.
If i don't know the exact name i sometimes use the forum search, but only works if they have posted confused
