Chips that is?
How do you like em, thin and crispy, fat and chunky, home made, oven chips
and most importantly what do you like on them
salt, vinegar, mayo, tom ketchup, curry, gravy or just plain.
Im just having a plate of home made chips with madras curry on them yummmmmmmm
I do also love them with mayo and raw onion on
if i do have them 'naked' i dont like salt and vinegar :scared: i reckon it spoils em.
Mr B loves em slathered in salt and vinegar....yuk!
judging by some of the kids I used to work with, chips gravy topped with grated cheese is the way to go
personally I prefer nekkid chips
ya cant beat the good ol fashiond chip butty biggrin :D
big thick cob ..lashings of butter loads of salt vinegar..just heaven

Lurve Chips. But I can't abide oven chips - they aren't actually chips. Just disgusting fakes.
Fresh out of the chip-shop fryer is best - if they use beef dripping even better. Almost too hot to bite.
Vinegar in first (not non-brewed condiment - what IS that ffs?) then salt - I'm talking blood-pressure spiking, heart attack triggering amounts of salt.
A pot of chip-shop curry sauce or Hellman's mayo for dipping.
Heaven.
PS - son says chips and Muller Rice is good. sillyrojectilevomiticon:

Hot, crispy (Not covered in grease) little salt and vinegar, Eaten out of the end of the paper on a cold night as you walk home...
They never taste as good off the plate...

Where i work there are many 'Adult' who eat that!
i bet hardly anybody knows what a 'Mix n gravy' is unless you live in my area lol
It's chippy chips in a tray with mushy peas on top covered in gravy... This IS the only way to eat your chippy chips biggrin Oh, not forgetting loads of vinegar!

With proper chippy sauce out the bag!
You lot will have no idea what proper chippy sauce is I'm sure but if you ever come north, try it!
Why do chips always taste nicer from someone else's bag? dunno
I'm not a chippy lover have to admit but the rare occasion I do have them I just like lashings of s&v on them and bread and butter to make a butty
proper chip shop chips, nice and firm, drowned in salt and vinegar, lashings of ketchup.... and the crispy bits to pick off the paper are the best.... mmmm. What a mean thread to post for people attempting a healthy living regime!! (slouches off to see how the salad's getting along)
Had them with mayonnaise when visiting Belgium - great. They love their chips over there so much that the French have a joke -
"How can you tell when a Belgian is dead? He drops his bag of chips!"
Apologies to any Belgians - blame the French for this!
Had chippy chips for tea - this thread made me fancy 'em!
