How do you eat yours

My big thing at Christmas is a fry up thats Eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding and.....FRIED CHRISTMAS PUDDING :shock: :shock:
Smothered in brown sauce confused

My grandad introduced me to this many years ago and he was Sottish.
Every person I've mentioned this to since has looked at me in disgust :shock: redface

Come on you lot there must be somebody out there who has tried this :?

you can tell your grandad's scottish... we are talking about the home of the deep-fried mars bar & pizza after all. :shock:
saying which, it sounds nice. might give it a go next year if i remember... the sweet/savoury combo is always a winner.

try a deep fried cream egg, local chippy does them about now
but my fav is beens & sausages on top of cheese on toast, then whole lot covered in worstershire sauce

oh yeah, in me gran's house it was fried clootie dumpling, which is sort of scottish chrissie pud type stuff! ;) yummy! fried xmas pud's good as well, or even grilled if you're on a low fat diet rolleyes

tho i think the HP is going a tad far!

Fried dumplings bloody lovely with a fry up, we also get fruit pudding but I dunno about smothering them with brown sauce ewwww

I have everything there except the christmas pudding! In having said that i have never tried it so i shouldn't knock it.
But i think a nice white pudding would top that off!
Bring on the brown sauce!!!!

Haven't tried fried christmas pud but my mum reckons Christmas cake sandwiches are good. Also Mars bar sandwiches or yorkshire pudding with sugar or jam. biggrin

I tried it for the first time a few years back. funily enough i was working in a hotel in Tyndrum which is in the highlands of scotland. ever tried deep fried pizza?

Wish you had said this on Saturday ( we ate all the black pudding on friday) although there is still a brandy christmas pud sat in the cupboard that I didn't know how I was going to use up :?
