Ladies, can I have some advice please. My girlfriend shaves her pussy with her ladyshave, but its still a bit stubbly, which makes it sore for both of us when we have sex. I have tried shaving it with a “Bic” type of razor, which definitely is a bit smoother, but even though I go very careful, she is always worried I may nick her and I still end up with a bit of stubble on her inner lips, which still makes us sore. She doesn’t fancy waxing. Can any of you give me advice on making a smoother shave. Thanks

how coarse is it down there? :eeek: Sod girly razors with moisture strips and what not. I use a MAN razor Much closer shave, might get a few pesky dodgers, but I'm still perplexed how that would lead to soreness..and for both of you?.. If you can't handle waxing, try laser :twisted:
I know I'm not a lady but I can speak with some authority on this subject as Cubette has tried a number of different options. ;) Many, many previous threads have proven that the use of a hair removal cream on the nether regions is a risky business and can result in chemical burns. :scared: Waxing is better, and longer lasting, but the thought of it can put some people off. The ultimate solution is to have the area laser treated. Although that's pretty much a permanent solution, the cost is prohibitive, and the transient pain during treatment is not for the faint hearted (allegedly). As you've already discovered, the best compromise is to shave. The ladyshave-type appliances don't seem to be as good at their job as shavers designed for men, so if you have one of those give it a try. The best tip I can give is to apply a light dusting of talc to the area before using any type of electric shaver. They work far better on dry skin. :thumbup:
After many years of trying different ways to get a smooth shave and no after shave rash on my bits i now always do the following .... i use Wilkinsons lady shavers, i cant rember the exact name of them but there are 4 in a pack and they have either 3 or 4 blades on each shaver. I use Tescos mens shaving foam, not the value one but the one above it in price range. I run a bath and while its running i shave my bits first with an old shaver thats been used for approx a week, then rinse off and then shave again with a new shaver, then i have a hot bath, dab myself dry then hubby checks me for any bits i might have missed and uses my electric lady shaver to finish off any i have missed It sounds like a very long time consuming task but in actual fact it takes hardly any time at all unless hubby gets distraced while doing his part of it lol No rash ever now, lovely smooth skin and only occasioanlly do i manage to nick myself .... ouch
Mrs F's solution:- Wash area with normal choice of soap and water. Rinse thoroughly, If hair is long then trim down with scissors to a stubble length. Shave stubble using a man's razor with a 'lube' strip (Gillette G3 or similar) keeping area 'wet' with warm water. (Lady razors are only designed for light leg hair the blades are thinner and blunt more easily on pubic stubble) Always shave the hairs in the downward direction (helps prevent in-growing hairs) Avoid using shaving cream/gel as these tend to cause those wee red spots to appear. Wash area again with clean hot water. Finish off with a light application of fragrance free baby oil. She hasn't had a shaving rash, in-growing hair follicle or spots since adopting the above. Works for her! As a bloke I just use an industrial angle grinder - works for me.
Can I ask what puts her off waxing? I didn't fancy it much either, but I bit the bullet so to speak many years ago & I wouldn't use any other method now. It's quick, very effective & after the first couple of times relatively pain free.
It is not reccommended on the packet so try this at your own risk but I very carefully use Veet cream for sensitive skin. If you are very careful with covering up the clit and labia with a piece of toilet tissue (if a little turned on it will stick there happily) you can apply the cream without it coming into contact for those delicate parts. Warning though! Time it accurately. I did fall asleep once and ended up in a right mess for a few weeks. Always use either Aloe Vera Afterwax or lashings of aqueous cream afterwards to protect the skin. It usually lasts for a few days and the hair grows back soft and not stubbly. If you don't fancy this. Waxing can be very good, but not for the faint hearthearted and I wouldn't do it if...er...shall we say "hormonal". ouch! Hope that helps.
I can't shave, or wax, or use 'normal' female hair removal products, as a diabetic some of my symptoms have been horrific after usage. I was recommended Carsons Magic Hair Removal Powder, readily available on ebay, and have never looked back. It is easy to use, and provided you follow the instructions, it removes every last hair. I put it on with the back of a spoon, and take it off with the front of the spoon. It was designed for black/afro carribean men to use to remove their beards, as they are prone to shaving 'bumps'; and therefore if it's safe enough for a face, it's safe enough for my 'bits'. I rarely have ingrowing hairs, and no rash whatsoever. There are several varieties available, even one for extra strong hair, and believe me, I have very strong, fast growing hair! I have stubble the next morning, but Mr T uses it and only has to use it every other week. Here's a link, hope it works:
My ex had laser hair removal treatment carried out by the Harley Medical Centre in Birmingham. The cost was very reasonable but depends on your hair type, coarser darker hair can cost a little extra. Her treatments were £120 per session and it took 8 sessions for the total removal back n crack so to speak or double crack if you prefer. The results were, well as smooth as a babies bottom and permanent, the hair will never grow back. As you can only have one session per month the cost is spread over the 6-9 months the treatment could take which makes it much more affordable, then consider the cost of razors for the rest of your life and it starts to even up. Pain, not really, she said it was more of a "uncomfortable" feeling much less painfull that having a tattoo. We have now found a clinic in Stoke that carries out the treatment and Sasha will be having the same done very shortly
I have given up on shaving. You shave, it grows. Usually you can feel the regrowth within an hour. As for the nasty little spots - ouch. By the time the spots have gone you might as well never have shaved. I trim, close and neat but no shaving. I can't imagine it's physically possible to wax the more intimate bits. This skin is far too thin and moveable for that not to risk ripping the skin open. And imagining laying there with my feet in stirrups would remind me far to much of giving birth.
Use Veet but start with the one for sensitive skin and follow the instructions, don't use any deodorant/perfume for 24hrs after. If all the hair doesn't go completely i repeat the process the next day. I feel better avoiding sex for about 24-48 hrs or more but u might want to sprinkle some baby powder on it, use a nappy rash cream like sudocrem or even dab with TCP and cotton wool after.
I really quite enjoy shaving me Mrs bits although my favourite bit is trying to sneak some aftershave on to her afterwards :twisted: I have to be both quick and prepared for at least 48 hrs of pain both physical and aural. Most of the time its not worth it but just every now and then ....priceless

It can be done, you just been to find a good water to do and and be prepared to leave your dignity at the door! I go and see a lady called Jolene every 4 weeks, she charges 28 quid but drones an amazing job, it's a lot easier than faffing round with razors etc.

Much closer shave, might get a few pesky dodgers, but I'm still perplexed how that would lead to soreness..and for both of you?..
