How important is correct spelling on this forum?

Actually you can't. You can teach without anything being learned, it happens in schools and universities all over the country every day. Care to try again to make some sense?
Sorry ....you can instruct or demonstrate without anything being learned .....but I`m pretty sure that to teach implies that something is being learned.
So teaching is only possible if somebody is learning dunno

I really don`t understand why you feel the need to be personally offensive to me .... in my experience it`s usually when somebody feels they have lost an argument ...

You have quoted no facts at all. You posted something factually incorrect to which I responded. You implied I had missed out half of your post which changed the meaning when what I snipped was completely irrelevant. You repeated the accusation that I 'obviously missed out the qualifying part of my post to further offensive argument' when I neither missed it out for that purpose nor did it in any way qualify the incorrect statement.
The mendacity and hypocrisy you have shown is staggering, and I'll know to avoid commenting on your posts in future as I hate wasting time and effort. Feel free to spout more tripe but I won't respond further.

That's exactly what I was saying - so amen to that.
The original exchange which brought all this about included the opinion of the person who couldn't spell too well saying that they didn't see the need to take the time and trouble to make an effort on the forum because they're just conversing with people. It had been observed that their profile and advert were well spelt and readable and they had taken the trouble.
I'm sorry but that just implies that they couldn't be fucked on the forum and is a dicourtesy to the reader in itself.
I for one think that this thread is not a good thread because of the trickle running between the lines and I regret it was ever started.

I said earlier in the thread that picking on someone's spelling or incorrect use of grammar or syntax was ill mannered and I stick by that. Yes, I could understand your post above and wouldn't comment on the mistakes ordinarily because of that, but it's what this thread is about so I will. Not to get at or criticise you, just to put a point forward.
There are about 30 mistakes in your post, depending on how pedantic you want to be. Yes your meaning can be understood without too much difficulty, but the impression given could be that you are just sticking two fingers up at those who value correct English. I don't know whether that's the case or not, but would ask you a couple of questions. Since you obviously have something to say, why do you object to doing something that costs you nothing but would make it not only easier to understand what you wish to get across, but also remove the excuse the ignorant have to pick on the mistakes rather than the content?
Surely if anyone posts to a forum it's because they want to communicate a thought or an idea or an opinion? It makes sense, at least to me, to make it as easy as possible for those reading to get the content as clearly as possible and using a spell checker would do that with very little effort required and no cost at all.
Of course it's entirely your choice whether you do or not, but I would be interested in your reasons should you have decided not to.
