How stupid are these people?

I've got 2 new emails in my Bulk folder. They come from and the subject of one is "Member Support". The other is from the same email address and the subject is "Your password has been successfully updated". Both are 56k with an attatchment.
The person who's sent them must be seriously lacking in brain cells. Bulk Folder? FFS! rolleyes

I don't even browse my BT internet bulk folder..just empty it..!
I'm sure it's full of that sort of crap though..and endless emails for cheap Meds..!

Been having a bit of the same on my Tiscali account lately, just select and press delete. Although, I did reply to one of them saying, "if you think I'm opening the attatchment on this email, you must think I'm stupid, you are now reported". Haven't had any more of them since.

About once a week I trawl through my bulk folder and every now and then find something that shouldn't have ended up there. Like my Glastonbury ticket confirmation in 2004 - grrrrrr!

Opening up the email themselves is enough for the sender to know it is a valid email address that can now be sold on to databases. If you do not know what it is and are not expecting anything from said company then delete it.
You must remember that the 'bulk' folder is not a good spam filtering system. You will (I promise you) get valid email that you have requested into this folder. This is because the ever so great postmasters at these accounts think, "I know how to defeat spam. Block everything and let the users do my job for me." Its not worked so far and will never work either.
Like Phire has said, a lot of automatically generated mailings that you have requested (so can't possibly be spam) are sent into this folder. I never have my 'bulk mailing filters' turned on because common sense is the only way to beat spam and infections from mailings.
