posting in a vaguely humourous way stategies

open can of stella ((( or bottle of vodka, or a full bodied cabernet etc )))
open notepad
read the odd thread for a bit . . .
open can of stella ((( second glass of wine, the voddie should still be going . . ain't it :shock: )))
read the selected thread again to make sure you understand it . . .
misunderstand the post completely
open can of stella
begin a stream of consciousness thing in notepad . . .
get distracted by a new ad with . . . . well with stuff on it. and black and white bits. think it's called text.

read what you've written
wonder WTF are you on about
hit DELETE
open can of stella
get sidetracked by new thread by davej
spill beer
wet yourself
clean monitor
change bedding
open can of stella
start typing in reply to first thread
finish typing

Oh, sorry, I came in here thinking this would full of helpful practical suggestions, like how you include a quote in your post without the word "quote" appearing before it. Not to mention how to overcome the unbearable tension of wondering whether your post is going to have a blue or pink background.
