I am too nice for my own good, and don't like to think I have upset or offended anyone (it bothers me greatly if i think i have - even if i havent)
Usually I would ignore anyone that we werent interested in - bad i know, but see reasons stated above (thats why I'm on medication!!!!)
but i had a pm that specifically asked for a reply even if we werent interested, but i dont know what to write.
so....how do i word a polite refusal, I need help desperately please (with sugar on) biggrin
'Thanks but we don't think that we're compatible with you'.
Thanks for the pm / email, but I am sorry you don't match my needs.
Happy hunting.......

I also struggle with this but a simple "thanks for your interest however at this moment in time you are not what we are looking for. Best of luck with your search mr and mrs B". Or something along those lines should be sufficiant.
thank you, thank you, thank you....i love you all
and lyns, i havent forgot about those mags for you hun.....just need to get to a post office

"My invisible friend told me your not for me."
Then not only will they understand it as a rejection, you probably wouldn't hear from the again.
I have a problem with this too, not so bad in mail where you can be detached from it, but when you're in chat and you have to say 'no' it's a lot harder. Especially if, looking at someone's profile, they do fit what you're looking for - you just don't hit it off with them. How do you say, 'sorry mate I don't fancy you' without insulting someone?
I'm so glad other people have this problem, I'm sorry I can't be more helpful than saying, 'yep, me too.'

thanks for the handy hint Dan lol
PS you remind me of Bradley Branning in Easties
(I know you love a joke wink  rotflmao )
I took that picture the other day, your the 5th person to say that so far. biggrin
I might get a tattoo "Bradley Branning?" On my forehead then all people will need to do is just nod in agreement.
Don't worry too much about letting them down. Most just are happy to know one way or another.
We just put something along the lines of....
Thanks for your PM but on this occassion it's a no thanks. Best of luck in your search for playmates x
Don't think people get upset at that!?!?!?!?
*go fuck yourself, you filthy perv!*

Dan, I don't think you look like Bradley Branning. Then again, I have absolutely NO idea who he is
If he's from one of the soaps, don't anyone bother with a link (is 'Easties', Eastenders?). Thanks.

There he is. biggrin

We used to have a problem saying No... Only in that it was like you said the feeling of guilt almost.
Now however.. even if someone is genuinely nice but we don't really fancy we just say so.. Usually along the lines of.. Your lovely etc blah blah blah but we don't think we'll all be setting the bed sheets alight.. a few more blah blah blahs lol..
Never offended anyone yet... We hope!

You can call me anything lol.... just read your profile.. Mwah lol.
pretty much what has been said already.
just a polite "thanx for you interest, but you are not what I/we are looking for at the moment."
it works on me anyway. and it happens all to often.
:upset: sad
(a bit of sympathy please !) smile
