The crown should not touch your head (unless it's a beret in which case you haven't much choice).
It should be snug enough to withstand a breeze but not so tight it leaves a mark when you take it off.
Very few hats should ever be worn straight, most should be carried at a slight angle. You could even go to the extent of 'jaunty' if you are feeling brave.
How far back it is tipped depends on the hat and the wearer, but mostly the further back the stupider it looks.
But the main thing, possibly the ONLY thing, when wearing a hat is - - wear it with confidence.
I'm not sure that's the recommended line in Grace Bro's.
upside down, apparently.
lp
beats me...I just wish I could find a hat big enough for my head...they don't seem to come in my size :S
In the summer months i favour a straw pork pie hat. The crown hits the top of my head. A jaunty angle is a must but one must avoid the back of the head trilbylook.
Baseball caps do not count as hats.
I like hats.
I don't know that I look the full shilling in a hat but I like em all the same! :silly:
I like hat, but it is best to find 7 or 8 that suit you.
Thanks to all posters for their help in this ...I've always fancied trying a hat but have never really had the confidence to allow myself to look so stupid...I may now give them a try.
There are fewer more distressing sights in the world
than that of an Englishman in a baseball cap.
How true
:karaoke:
The way you wear your hat
The way you sip your tea
The memory of all that
No they can't take that away from me
The way your smile just beams
The way you sing off key
The way you haunt my dreams
No, no they can't take that away from me
We may never, never meet again, on that bumpy road to love
Still I'll always, always keep the memory of
The way you hold your knife...
etc etc
Got a lovely voice haven't I?!
