I put a post up and used the name alex-andra and the word got replaced with dark sparrow. How and why would that happen? :shock:
You all try it, I had to split the name for it to not change, how bizzare :shock:

I do not think it is anything generic with the forum software ther are using. I think it has been adding into the replacement table manually by some admin on the site.
Maybe using as a quick fix to solve a problem.. maybe to hide the name in all posts quickly

The lady in question wanted to to change her name but where the posts had been quoted it was confusing because it didn't look like she had made the posts. So the tech guys just put a filter in so when the name A-lexandra was used Alexandra popped up :thumbup:

Oddly enough I typed "D-A-R-K S-P-A-R-R-O-W" and was abducted by alien birds who wanted to peck at my seeds and implant weird ideas into my head about a master race of alien-bird-human hybrids that can fly through their air and poo on peoples head.
