They turn up in the most unlikely places.
I always manage to come across the ones with suicidal tendancies - i.e. leave me alone and I'll leave you alone but no, YOU have run AT me....
They use your face as a night-time playground YEEEK!!
and finally, they leave huge trails of sticky web between trees that get stuck in your eyeball coz you didn't see the dam thing and walked straight into it!
AAARGH!

Spiders are cool i have the ones the size of your palm running around this place well they have been feeding off allsorts here for quite a while, these buggers run at you with their front legs up and look like the face hugger from Aliens thats why you dont like them dear. :scared: bolt
spider (tho i admit are ugly) are cool really cause they eat the fles and you never see a spider throw up on ur dinner
yet noone screams and runs about if a fly buzzes past them
odd really!!
On holiday in South America we came back to our room to discover it infested with large (and I mean large) black hairy spiders. Arrgh!! tarantulas I thought. Shepharded my then wife out of the room and set about catching them. How? Just as you do with diddy English spiders just with a bigger cup and a thicker piece of paper.
The next day reported this the locals. They were unimpressed tarantulas they said no way. They were just Wolf spiders. Ithink this is the only occasion when the words 'only' and 'wolf spider' can appear in a sentance together.
Spiders are my worst fear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think i would rather die than let one touch me..... i hate them!!!!!!!!
The worst thing is when you get up in the morning still half asleep and get in the shower and all you can see is this big black things sitting on the site of the bath (no comments about the big black thing please lol ) and you have got nowhere to go, you trapped!!!!!!
Touch wood........i haven't seen one for ages...... god have i just tempted fate!!!!!!!!

I don't like anything with more than 4 legs. Spiders creep me out big time :scared: Even worse this time of year are craneflies. They make a horrible clicking sound that makes my flesh crawl and they always head straight for me so I end up running through the house, screaming like a girl :scared: bolt

rotflmao @ "Nuke the bastards" - agree 100%!!
Craneflies - omfg! YOU should have been around the year they took over the seaside village where I was living. I kid you not, they COVERED the front of everybody's houses!! It was like something out of a Stephen King film. *shudder*
Don't like flies either; dirty disgusting creatures that serve no visible purpose other than spreading disease and ruining bbq's!

Actually I do. I hate flies mad . I am not scared of them, I just hate the dirty, disgusting little bastards :x .
but this is the point i was trying to make, spiders are clean, they keep your house clean, they eat dirty, disgusting little bastards for tea, so why do people hate them so dunno

I like spiders, I was thinking 'gladly cohabit' was a bit strong. Then I realized that we have dozens perhaps hundreds in and around the house. So yes we cohabit. I have got them eating flies, wood pigs, green fly and much more. They are my close friends.

I heard on the radio once that the you eat/swallow something like 5 1/2 spiders in ur sleep !!!!!!
5's bad enough.......it's the half that really gets me !!!! :scared:

The 0.5 of a spider I reckon must be eaten by that 0.4 kid that some families have dunno
i dont like those huge helicopter size flying things abroad, eugh makes my skin crawl thinking about it

Perhaps I can put your mind at rest Blonde. The spider I have used for the obvious faked picture above was well researched and is the common Cleavage Spider (Arachnid Tittus Nippltickler) - it is a fairly large but ultimately harmless species which lives during the summer in the cleavage of attractive ladies , laying its eggs in the unsuspecting finger nails of the unwary groper . Having done so it retreats to its winter quarters in the corner of your bedroom ceiling and bothers humans no more , save for coming down a silken thread now and then during the night for a small drink from the corner of your mouth .
So hopefully it wont worry you any more , its harmless and quite an attractive creature really .
Glad to help

death to all creepy-crawlies....

It doesn't matter whether said spider is miniscule or arse-kicking huge.... they are vile... the bane of my life... they pick on me... live in my landrover... descend on me when i'm not looking... and generally make my life hell....
The position of Spider Killer within the Royal Household is now vacant..... applications are invited....lol

I've just shifted a 50p size one from the side entry. Was going to tread on it but didn't fancy hearing the crunch as my stomache a bit off. lol
i have to say that creepy crawleys dont bother me.........
im alergic to wasp and bee stings... so naturally i stay well clear of them ... but theres no way im one of those who goes running for cover or shrieks when one is nearby....
the thing that really make my skin crawl and make me nauseas are RATS.....
