Oh and Keeno something I've always wanted to know. Why is it that when we have about 6 months of winter in this country, the school terms were always labelled spring term, summer term and autumn term? Is this a case of burying your head in the sand and hoping no one would notice?
damn why do the posts always come twice?

Well you know what kids are like - drama kings and queens rolleyes
If we had a winter term, you hoofed the kids out in the morning for school, no matter how many hats, gloves, scarves, socks n jumpers you gave em to wear. No matter how much ready brek you plied em with, you would still have to suffer the "Whaaaaaa! it's not fair. It's winter term you're so cruel gimme a lift or I'll call the social services for being a bad bad parent making me practically freeze to death you hate me I didn't ask to be born I hate you, cold so cold"
Then you feel really guilty all day, as you watch them shivering, huffing into their hands as they dawdle up the road sad with a limp for added effect
Now imagine that day in day out, from every school kid, on a National basis
Nooooooooooo, it's far easier to just not have a "Winter Term" at all cool 8-) 8-) 8-)
Oh Wise Keeno!

Why is it that every time I check out a chatroom user's profile they're always exactly 203 miles away from me? dunno
Keeno - please answer me this -
Im short-sighted, and can only see clearly without my glasses if something is 5 inches away or closer.
But - if, UNbespectacled, I look in a mirror that is, say 4 inches away, I cant see the room behind me reflected clearly - UNTIL I put my gigs on! why is that?
The image I'm seeing is coming from the mirror - the mirror is close enough - if I held a picture that close, I'd see it clearly - this question is driving me  please, please help!

Things that make you go "Oooooooo"
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I have just come from an hour with my nose pressed against the mirror, glasses on, glasses off, glasses on, glasses off, glasses on :undecided: ........
I done it slow, fast, magically, casually, nonchalantly, suddenly spin round with em on, everything ....... How does the mirror know whether you've got your glasses on or off?
Like Cherrytree said, a mirror doesn't have depth, it's flat ........ so how does it know which things to blur and by how much?
OOOOOOOOOOOOO Chin stroky stuff blink

The distance of the image to your eye is the distance of the image to the mirror + the distance from the mirror to your eye.
And comes under the subject of Basic Physics:

Well, thanks for that Liasons. But after clicking on the link, I'm still none the wiser. If that's basic physics, I'd hate to see advanced - I'm a complete dumbo on this sort of stuff.
I think it's going to have to remain as a mystery for me, (along with how do aeroplanes stay in the sky)

It is a common misconception that planes stay in thew sky. All the planes I have ever flown on have started on the ground and finished on the ground so they only stayed in the air forthe duration of the flight. biggrin

F**k knows. Personally I would ban it. This is not sport, this is fat blokes playing a pub game. If this manages to get on to primetime telly why not dominos, draughts or noughts and crosses?
Why would anyone go and watch it? I have wet paint at home perhaps the BBC or Sky could televise it drying biggrin

I think the worrying thing is that the people who name the terms are incharge of our childrens education. THe same people who use the 3 Rs - reading, riting and rithametic. confused:

I think there is a direct relationship between the attractiveness of a person and how far they live from you. The further away they are the more attractive they are.
I only fall for women who live in excess of 180 miles from me.
Dear Keeno, how does body hair know when to stop growing? I mean, if I didnt cut my head hair for years, Id expect it to be long enought to sit on, but what about hair on other bits? lol

I think I've got the answer to this!
Hair is very much like plants - the hair on your head it exposed to much sunlight and thrives, it is also exposed to rain and shower water and wet things like that, which makes it thrive and grow even more.
The danger of this tho, is that men are taller and therefore closer to the sun, which is not so good cos it frazzles the hair and it all falls out confused
Hair on the body isn't as exposed so much to the sunlight, and therefore doesn't do that thrivey thing. Pubic hair, although often in damp conditions, tends to act more like moss cos of the darkness :undecided:
A testimony to this is the lesser know Puby Tribe, who spend most of their lives walking round on their hands, with their genitals exposed, their luscious pubic locks are a site to behold ...... or they would behold the site if they weren't on their hands and could actually see them without their eyes being covered with said luscious locks!! :? :? :?
That's why cool
