The below has made me cry with laughter & am in
the 14th time of viewing this...

Some look like they want to punch him, others want
to laugh.
But the last word say's it all.
Wonderful.
Personally I dont find it funny that someones National Anthem has been ruined....
No matter what country it is the National Anthem is not something to make fun of......Its a precious thing to those of that nation....
I have no idea what they were thinking of letting that man sing it but I bet they wont make the same mistake again...
I didn't see anything funny either. I must be getting old
Anyway, the singer was singing it in a style of his own. He looked like he was enjoying it and was giving his all and with pride. Just as a National Anthem should be sung. It doesn't matter what it sounds like to others as long as it is done with pride.
In short, not a funny clip but I also do not think the singer was a disgrace to his nation........just different. You should hear my warble when I sing mine with gusto........you laugh yourself silly then lol

Agree with Dave, nothing funny, absolutely apalling!!!
I don't get what's funny - but then again I don't get what's appalling either.
I've never heard how it's supposed to go, but I'm assuming the singer didn't deliberately set out to risk his career. From the comments below the video, it looks like he didn't have any control over the key or pitch of the music.
I feel some sympathy for him, it's the kind of scenario that should only occur in nightmares.

Erm,... maybe it's because I know a few South Africans, personally.
The background was his terrible singing caused a mini-diplomatic row between South Africa & France.
This was resolved when the South Africans realized that it was their own Embassy in Paris, that selected him. rolleyes
If you watch it again.. some of the South African Squad are nearly laughing out loud whilst others turn at the end like they want to punch him.
That's all... change of name thinking I would be more lighter in my approach & all I get is serious.
If certain members of the squad are laughing, it's alright.. peeps.
Am not getting into SH Froum arguments, any longer.
If you don't like it then cool cool
The weathers miserable we don't have to be.
