sorry warwick it was me! forgot all about The Times article.
i've decided that if i'm gonna spend all day writing childish bollox, well i might as well get paid for it eh? i know i should have mentioned it, but it's been a bit of a media circus lately what with book launches and nominations for the Whitbread Prize and all that. i even had tea with that J.K. Rowling the other day. she quite likes it!![]()
i'm a bit concerned actually. i've got an interview with Melvyn Bragg about it next week, and he's bound to ask me what the inspiration was ain't he? well i can hardly point him here can i? but then i'd be lying? it's a tricky decision i can tell you!
of course i'll be sharing the royalties with you lot. seems only fair. the advance deal was 10 pretty goldfish ((( non-ironing variety ))) and 0.1% of a goldfish per book sold, so it should come to a handsome sum i reckon!
sorry!
neil x x x ;)
