I went on a one day course. As normal out come the ice breakers;
which football team do you support.-none, I will not give my money to a bunch of over paid fellows, just to see them kick a container of air about.
who would you like to be maroon on an island with.- my wife.
I alway seem to give a quick come that was nor expected.
Anyway, this time he asked, "If you were President, who would you nuke and why?"- no one the treat is far more powerful.
What ice breakers have you had thrown at you?
My sis had one, when she was doing courses in order to adopt her kids
if you were a colour, what colour would you be and why? :shock:

Black, I absorb everything.
The 'toilet roll game' is one I used to use a lot (until some people got wise to me). You pass round the table/room a couple of toilet rolls and the only instructions the people are given, is to take as much toilet rool as they think they may need. Dont tell them anything else.
Once everyone has taken as much as they need, you then tell them to write one unknown fact about themselves on each piece of toilet paper. Once everyone has finished, you can either ask them to read them out, swap paper with a neighbour or everyone hand them in and I would (try) and read them out with people guessing which fact belonged to which person. This always raised a smile or two and usually got people chatting.
It is suprising that the majority of the time, females take one or two pieces but the men seem to go for half the toilet roll confused
I've seen some awful ice breakers in my time! We did one called the fish bowl (I think) - I hated it! Four people had to sit in the middle and start a discussion - when one person had spoken they had to change places with someone from the outer circle join in! The discussion subject had to be on the theme of the training. Not for the shy and nervous!
I always likes the name one - where you had to name an animal that began with your name. So I would be Anais the Antelope, next person would say the previous persons name and then say theirs and so on! You could end up with having to remember 20 peoples names and the animal.
I was asked as an "ice breaker" on a course; "What makes you different to everyone else?"
I answered; D.N.A.
It seemed to stop there.

I so so hate those ice-breaker game things that are done. I really object to them. I don't know why I do but i do. I think an option of not doing them should always be given.
I once had the name of 'Sausage' for three days whilst on a training course, which is OK (not really) apart from the fact that some of my co-workers from other parts of the UK carried on calling me Sausage mad Sodding American team building Ice-breaking shite.
