On this site, I have *another* profile...
one that I have used mainly to reply to ads, when I do so, to people who I feel may be *put off* by the more, shall we say.. kinky(?) side of my nature.
There is a little more to me than that... or less, depending on viewpoint!
I have posted in the forums ( a while ago I think) with this Alter-ego, and was warmly welcomed...>for that thanks< though these days feel happier with LP, than the other chap.
Though both reflect who I am, I now feel it unfair (your thoughts?) to continue with two profiles >seeing as Im single and no other reason to maintain two< although I do use him to check if the mail system is working!! hehe
What do you think... lose the Alter-ego and make a vain attempt to better tailor this *LP* profile to reflect who/what/where the hell I'M at?
I think I know the answer.... but somehow still feel loath to let him go!

Have as many profiles as you please for me..........though some may find it a bit odd that you feel the need to have 2. But I can genuinely apriciate that you felt more comfortable expressing another side of you in another profile 
After all when I first came here my profile contents changed on an almost weekly basis untill I setteled on what felt right for me on this site

It's not for me to judge as you obviously had/have your reasons for having the two profiles.
My situation is similar(ish).... depending on what I'm seeking depends on which website I use. I'm a member of two (inc SH) and they are very different and cater for a different demographic entirely.
However (and I'm not at all suggesting that you have done, or would do this!!) I personally wouldn't talk to my 'friends' on here if I had a seperate profile and they didn't know 'who' I was - nor would I be happy if that was done to me. (Did that make sense?

i wont tell you what to do as im sure you will discover that for yourself ,and id hate to give bad advice on this one.
i remember in the old SH days when you could place a ad and no one would actually know it was you or link it to your profile. This allowed for people to put ads up looking for some things maybe they didnt want the whole site to know about.
i know i have a id name that is open to many questions and sugestions, to those i dont want to tell much about it refers basically to the drink and those i feel comfortable with i my tell more.
i think now you have found your feet here and know people accept you for who you are and dont see "one" quality and label you for that , then you will feel happier just being you.

swinging is based on trust and respect, by asking this question you opened the thread with, maybe you would feel comfortable ditching the alter ego now rather than ever feel your in a position of apearing deciteful?

I've just re-read what I had posted and I really don't want to come across as self-righteous about the deceit thing, as most folk are aware of I'm one of those people that's commonly referred to as a 'cheat'.
What I was trying to say in my usual going round the houses get to the flucking point would you kind of way is.. do what’s right for you but always be fully aware of what it is your doing and realise that everything has consequences.
Going back to what I was saying about different profiles for different purposes, I think my member name on the other site I belong to would get me banned on here before I even started!

On a purely personal note I'd like to know why anyone NEEDS another ID? For what reason apart to appear to be who you're not??
I'd hate to think that someone I was chatting to was someone else in disguise... for me it's creepy and deceitful. If they can deceive now they can deceive later.

My initial reasoning behind the two profiles was to seperate (to a degree) the more, shall we say *adventurous* side of my personality, form the rest. For fear of *scaring* some folk... (over cautious?) even though Im very much the same *person* in reality.. there are some things I might enjoy, that wont appeal to many...
I havent (at least I hope not) been presenting these sides of me, to the same individuals (re: meets etc) in the hope of *decieving*...if that has happened at all... sincerest appologies!
so thats why I thought bringing oneforall out into the open, blinking in the light....
