I personally use the term "Tart" for blokes and women and dont ever mean it as a bad thing. 
I can think of a number of men from this scene who well deserve the label tart, myself included at times. And certainly a number of ladies for whom tart is a good description and often one they use for themselves.
So I am all in favour of reclaiming Tart as a good word. Can't stand the term "Slag" though and cant ever see myself using it.

It is a good point - it is not really the word - it is what the word implies by the users definition.
I have often used tart as a term of endearment.
It is when it’s use is to clearly imply a derogatory meaning that it reflects the narrow-minded attitude of the user.

I remember a few years ago b4 we were swingers, we were on a works party and this woman ended up in the toilets with 2 men, everything was consented to, but then in the following weeks the guys started telling everyone at work what went on, she got labeled the "slag/slut" and the guys didnt get called anything,

I used to work with a guy who shagged around behind his wife's back - he did so frequently (especially when she was expecting their first child) yet called his wife a slag for shagging one guy.
I stopped talking to him in any context that didn't involve work - I couldn't bring myself to be civil to him as his attitude made my fists clench.

As mentioned above mainly at a time when people are bragging about experiences with someone or just wanting to be disrespectful - but in the right context, at the right time - a little different.

It's not the words you use, it's the way you use them and what you are trying to do with them that causes the problem. Society has spent generations making sure women were not empowered, and the language developed to support this way of thinking.
Now that things have changed, language will have to adapt too - we should start here.
