I would ban double standards.
eg You can buy a man a cordless hammer drill for christmas, thats a "present", but you can't buy a woman a steam iron.
Or, what about "the flat tyres on YOUR side of the car, so it's your tyre, so you should change it". (I would advise removing your seatbelt before trying that one incase the ejector seat doesn't work).
There are many more examples I could give, however I value everything that hangs from my body and i wanna keep it that way.

I'd have a UK wide ban on under 16s out on the streets without parents accompanying them after 8pm. controvertial perhaps but it will most likely reduce a fair bit of teenage crime, drug abuse such as glue sniffing, teenage pregnancies, and lots more. imo kids need discipline and moitoring and with the availability of drugs and drug pushers they are easily influenced and loose their way. this can be fixed with good parenting (& no law) but lots of parents are irresponsible as well with the 8yr olds out on the streets terrorising others in the middle of the night while the parents are getting hammered in the pub.

Your kind of 'discipline' would serve no pupose whatsoever,apart from maybe, alienate teenagers and parents even more and lead to more domestic violence when teenagers, as teenagers do, rebel.
I agree that there are some irresponsible parents around but you cant go around accusing them of getting 'hammered' in the pub.

No, I do not have any teenage kids, however my parents raised us 4 boys living in various countries with the same house rules applied everywhere! Yes, we (the teenagers) were not happy at times, argued, screamed etc, but there was never resulting domestic voilence because ultimately we respected our parent's decisions - we never raised our hand or smashed things up, and neither did they! Also Parental imposed nightly cerfew seems to quite well in other cultures & countries with a lot lower teenage crime rates than UK, I can name a few if you like. You are probably right, it may not work in the UK for various reasons. As I said such a law is unnecessary if Parents bring up their kids with strong values and good discipline. So what is the solution for UK to reduce teenage crime, if neither the law nor parental discipline will work?

Not much chance of that young Markz ! In our Modern Britain, would surely declare that as being particularly offensive to those unfortunate enough to have slightly less than the usual pair of eyes. However, as it is traditionally quite some time before they return to work, you could well get away with it temporarily!
Perhaps I may politely suggest that you give due consideration to banning your aviator from ever taking control of any aircraft. I may be a poor judge of character, but it could be a recipe for disaster!
