I think I've fallen in love with you even more.. kiss
I was just thinking this today, in our own little lives we're hustling and bustling along, buying the presents, wondering what to eat on the BIG day.. wondering what nice things to get. For the majority of us, we'll wake up on Christmas morning with a warm feeling of contentment and happiness, our kids will open all their pressies, they'll eat the breakfast made for them and the day will progress.
But what will the people do who aren't so fortunate? the homelessness, the abused children, the abused adults/elderly, the list goes on... I for one sometimes take it for granted the luxuries I have at home, and I'm taking this moment to reflect on all that.
So, if I could be anyone else for a day, it would be one of the less fortunate and then I would know for sure just how bloody lucky I am xxx

You know that saying "be careful what you wish for..."
I understand what you mean but you really wouldn't want to be there!
So wrap a present for a child and take it to boots or one of the other retailers collecting gifts for less fortunate kids ....... put a quid in every collection box thrust at you ................ and enjoy every second of what you have ......... because who knows what tomorrow holds for any of us! kiss

I did that yesterday (I can't advertise it but it was a local radio station)
Of course I wouldn't want to be there, but I, like many others, probably sit back and take what I have (and we don't have mega bucks) for granted, so my bit is, just for a day I'd like to 'feel' what some people feel. I was nearly there myself 10 years ago, I can totally
I would like to be someone with a lot of money, someone who loves to hoard it. I would spend the day giving it to medical science, or something that goes on and on after the money is spent. Medical discovery fits the bill.

..........or if you want to truly give something back and also appreciate how fortunate you are then volunteer your time. Most charities love and desperately need volunteers they can depend on.
The best ones will give you training to the same standard they give their paid employees. At most you will need to have good communication skills and a CRB check.
You will gain knowledge and skills in new area's, a daily reminder of how fortunate you are and something to add to your CV to prove you are willing to go the extra yard.

 I agree, I'm starting one in January x
know it sounds stupid but schools are always looking for volunteers...and even as a school govenor or somthing??
Me and Mr B are school governors, in fact he is chair of governors, and we find it immensly rewarding, and the school head is very grateful as the stuff we do, frees her up to be with the children more.
Plus we also get to have an input with our kids education and school life, and we also arrange fundraising events, which raises money which all goes back to our kids for treats and trips.
there are actually lots of *propper* jobs in the field where a daily reminder is there for anyone who might fancy it.
think about it... go on,dare ya!
