I just know this is gonna be a very obvious answer to this question and i'll probably be feeling a little bit redface

Been working in the garden today, ES has just commented on a bare bit of 6ft fence towards the end of the garden and told me to buy some sunflowers to plant there.
So......and this is where my blondeness takes over...
Can I just plant some of my munchy 'sunflower' seeds from the health food shop? :dunno:
Or do I need 'Special' ones ;)

Sunflower seeds that you get in hamster food grow if you plant them.... so, unless the ones in hamster food are more "special" than those from your health food shop, I assume they will grow.

I think you will fined that the ones for human consumption have been sterilised so will not germinate.
I may be wrong ???

er no they won't grow as they have been treated. thats the seeds not the hampster
