when was the last time you really used your imagination?
i don't think i have for quite a while. what with reality tv, the world at the touch of the keyboard, just about everything can be represented on screen.
so do you need or use your imagination ?

I have to use my imagination on a daily basis in my job. I like that.

I have a very active imagination - it's a valuable asset.
If I have to wait for anything I just wander off in my mind - either into purely imginagtive place or in a memory of an event, film or album. It makes the waiting much easier.
I love reading - I can make my own pictures up. It does jar a bit when I then see the film and the people and situations are not what I imagined. But if a film works it can inform my reading with voices and faces.
Imagination is essential in my job - I write and deliver training in engineering databases. It can be exactly as boring and dry as that sounds, so I have to use my imagination in 2 ways. First to understand the system from some very dry system standard documents and then to create real-life situations in which the users will use the system. Luckily I come from the same background (aerospace) as the people being trained so I have a starter for ten. But it is quite a challenge to make a realistic course out of it.
Imagination isn't all about fun-fantasy, but it is enjoyable and usfeul as well.
Oh it makes for good self-pleasuring too.

Yes I guess I do use my imagination a lot. Its pretty uselss stuff that goes on in there mind and pretty much never comes to any kind of fruition. Most of what goes through my head in a typical daydream or moment is stupid and dodgy ways to make money easily without doing much work. Over recent months this has included buying property in Bulgaria and other general shite like that. One of my problems is that I am always thinking of the next thing to do when Ive not completed what I started before. Thats why the room I am sat in is full of stock

It would be nice to be able to turn off that sort of constant mental chatter sometimes, but I'm not sure my mind really works that way, or would let me if I tried? :? It seems to be there whether I like it or not, and I don't always like what it chucks up?
I'm not sure that's the question you were asking, cos I suspect you were meaning usefully creative, and properly using my imagination, rather than allowing my imagination to run away with itself and use me? That's maybe a different kettle of fish altogether, but it's the only kind I know? :? ;)

I use my imagination lots in my job. I am a trainer so I have to come up with different, imaginative ways to deliver training to keep it interesting (especially when it comes to annual mandatory stuff which can be really boring).
One of my hobbies is drawing/painting so I use my imagination lots and put whats in my minds eye on paper (although sometimes its easier to draw whats in front of me and I can actually see).
Our son has Autism and I have to make up for his lack of imagination. I spend a lot of time trying to come up with lots of new activities for him to do which are both interesting for him and achievable at his level.
All this, along with the mental pictures I make when reading (and the usual lady wank thing) I guess I use my imagination lots.
