If it's fisticuffs no idea - but before I turned over to watch Coast half the cast of Eastenders appeared to be in cells so I guess Coronation Street would get a head start. Although they would probably just start fighting among themselves instead.

Whatever anyone says to the contrary...........it has been going for 50 years in December, and still attracts millions of viewers.....they must be doing something right.

Nope, got freeview/cable thingy, but with with all the different soaps, the repeats, the specials the behind the scenes specials, the special specials and the awards they clog up the airwaves almost as much as football.

Invest in a thing called TV Times and am sure you can avoid all the soaps.
Syphillis may have been around a lot longer, but just like the soaps if you do things correctly, you should be able to avoid getting that as well.

Waste of money, i've found Quest and at the very least they'll be showing american hotrod (unfortunately full of testosterone filled obnoxious yank meatheads- but the cars are good) Mighty Ships or Tank Restoration is much better....or i just watch a film lol

I love Corrie...and the soap of the same has some beautifully written pieces of real comedy on there. Eastenders doesn't do comedy ...intentionally!
