I have to admit - 'winks' have given me a few laughs.
I still chuckle when I get a PM that thanks me for my reply and agrees with what I have written...
and then I send a message explaining they are agreeing with a site generated auto-reply which I had no hand in typing and was blissfully unaware they had winked in the first place.
...

Now you do realise that I now had to go send you a wink just so I can see what's in the reply to agree with. Of course I had to stop by the picture gallery and you know, I'm not sure I want to wear my name badge if I ever do go to a munch.
so theses winks are annoying rolleyes
right I am off to wink at everyone wink

So thats why there is a limit on the number of winks you can send,
Admin were trying to Markz proof the system

i hear what your saying, but the winks seem to have been used willy nilly,
there is not one wink i have recieved ( even when my profile was complete) that matched to anything i was looking for. I still get winks now and it so obvious they have not reda my profile, i do wonder if there is a automated winking system cuse i dont know why anyone would even be directed towards my profile???
if you have a good profile and wink someone with the same intrests, locations etc then yes maybe winking would be ok, but i dont think thats happening.
even in that situation i would much rather read a personally written email
