Thinking- well said.
:therethere: TN - ty for sharing hunni kiss
Yes to a certain degree, we all work on aesthetics - but some like thin, medium and large ladies - the secret i think is to learn to like yourself, no matter what size etc.....
Congratulations on finding your final jigsaw piece - remember at times it becomes a littlle invisible, but believe hard enough and it will fit back in to place. wink
An amazing post Thinkingnaughty worship
You remind me very much of myself. Well done on not only standing up for youreself and your child but for posting it here and sharing with us kiss
p.s. having previously seen you're pictures, you are a beautiful lady, inside and out passionkiss
Thanks for the kind comments. They are appreciated.
Bullying wether online or ofline is real. The Oxford dictionary defines the word bully as:
a person who uses strength and power to coerce others by fear;.
ThinkingNaughty? thanks for that! biggrin kudos to you! ;) posts like that are often important, and downright instructive! ;)

No more than games like GTA et al do just now for random acts of violence against innocents. I’d ban them all

why? i've experienced extreme violence? In Real Life? i've also played GTA and Need For Speed? i ain't about to shoot someone in the head, or run someone off the road to achieve a Sub-60-Second time, but i played both games to death? i can distinguish between PS2 reality, and M1 / M6 / A42 reality? i also know that Mac-10s, and MP5s, look like? nothing like the same? and . . . my 10 year old cousin can spot the difference too! ;)
I don’t see entertainment value in slashing a prostitute with a meat cleaver on the silver screen.
Maybe that’s just me? I’d ban them all tbh.

never watched Scream? The Deer Hunter? Taxi Driver? Apocalypse Now? Good Fellas? Casino? Nightmare On Elm Street? Saw? etc, etc, etc? fairly graphic films, with some fairly important things to say, i'd have said? is being a passive voyeur any different to being an active joypad twiddler? all voyeurism in it's way, i'd imagine? ;)

I am with you on this one Laird.... I cant understand why people would actually create them confused

i've played Halo, and Halo 2, and Ratchet And Clank, and Need For Speed 2 / Most Wanted / Underground? :? if you think for one minute i want to execute aliens with plasma rifles, and double bladed swords, or Glove-Launched, Mini-Nuclear devices, or shove police cars off the road using turbo-charged Audi TTs, well . . . erm . . . don't have none of them things, even if i was that way inclined? it's imagination? has nothing whatsoever to do with real life? ;)
it's cathartic? it's all in my head. and yes . . . my 10 year old cousin knows the Porsche 911 with flames up the side, and the bit in Fiddy Cent where he shoots some gangster in the head, is all in his imagination too? he'd shit himself if i waved a gun in his face, cos in his real world, that kinda thing just doesn't exist? it's all at joypad length?

OK so I started the thread, which has raised some fantastic posts and brave testomonies. It has also sent a couple of PM's bouncing back and forth where my actions in the forum in the past and more recently have been described as bullying.
So, before I give my own testimony about bullying I would like to ask anyone out there in forum land who honestly believes that my behaviour to them (so that doesn't mean someone piping up "yeah, but what about when you said so-and-so to whatisface..? ") I will personally apologise to them.
I am a man of small stature (as some of the more discriminatory wags have pointed out here in a bullying kind of way) but I am big enough to say sorry to ANYONE who feels that I have targetted them in a pejorative way, because that is NOT what I intended to do.
My PM box is open.

De Sade? you have never bullied me, but i have witnessed behaviour somewhat akin to what i define as bullying? Walter Mitty, for example?
i personally regard it as bullying when you know full well that you can show someone up by deconstructing their entire post, quote by quote, with a hint of added sarcasm? maybe that's me being over-sensitive, but i read it as bullying? or at the very least, intellectual arrogance? knowing that you can show someone up, and choosing to show someone up, is a kind of bullying? as opposed to rolling your eyes, and thinking 'WTF are they on about?' ? most, i think, occasionally think 'i'll let that pass'?
of course, when someone says something stupid, you have a right to challenge it, but there are ways and means ((( ways and means which i'm quite easily caught in flagrante delecto of from time to time, but belittling ((( Walter Mitty? ))) ain't the way forward?
;)
awaits response blowing me right out the water? ;)

Blah blah and a bit of good old Neils bollox in there too for good measure wink
Not everyone can spot the difference though Neil.... Our 11 year old son has Aspergers Syndrome which means he has difficulty with telling reality from fantasy. We have had to stop him watching things like WWF as he then goes and tries out all the moves on his 9 year old sister rolleyes
Personally I would like them all banned... There is no need for the level's of violence in them but thats just my opinion kiss
Nice to see you again Neil
Well said Neil. The bottom line is that developers of videos games and films alike should be able to portray scenes of sometimes extreme violence without having to worry about a small minority of people that cant distinguish between right and wrong or those few thatchoose to go out onto the streets and shoot cars with a M16 (that happened in the US after GTA 3 was made i think) This group of people spoilt it for the rest of us, if your offend by the game or your likely to be directed to do something stupid by the game then dont play the game.
Please see above Drew biggrin
That wasnt there when i started to write my post, i apoligise  xx

shireen? i can't think of a way to reply to that that wouldn't possibly be misconstrued? i'm sure the developers never had aspergers in mind when they wrote them? there are always exceptions to the rule that the designers never had in mind? right or wrong, they envisage 'most people' when they write them?
it's always gonna be a bit crap if you are not 'most people' but, unfortunately, such is the way of the world? if you banned things that 'most people' want, because of a minority, we would have little left in the 'real' world?
after all, 'most people' In The Real World think we're pervs just by being here? we wouldn't allow them to decide what we can and cannot do though, would we?
i hope you took that as intended? confused
Nice to see you again Neil

and you too! passionkiss roll on a certain event in february, which i believe you're attending? :bounce:

I thought it was a well known fact that most of the Admin team can barely read redface
It is a serious subject though and I can see how these things would have an impact on some people and I have no idea how every eventuality could be covered with games like the one mentioned right at the start, but they do come with warning like films so there are things in place to review things on sale to the public, is it good enough dunno

I dont think it matters what sort of warning comes with it Steve there will always be someone who thinks it shouldn't be allowed and visa versa... It all comes down to the fact that we are all different and what one finds acceptable, another wont biggrin

Agreed, I suppose one of the points of the thread is where the line is drawn, thats for the authorities to sort out and they may not always get it right.
The other point that this thread has brought out is bullying, there's no way that I could add anything to what has been said but I think its good subject to discuss and reading all of the posts it does focus the mind a bit.
I'm with Neilinleeds on this one!!

You know you just need bring yourself (as long as your better half is with you of course)

I've played violent games.....not nearly as much as I used to. However, it's obviously becoming a common thing in 21st Century Britain that such games exist. It does make me laugh that parents let their kids watch violent films, and indeed the News which has scenes of violence, but complain to all and sunder about a computer game.
Perhaps instead of banning such games, the Law should be better enforced - If you aren't 18 then you can't buy the game....and retaliers should get their arses kicked and wallets emptied if they are caught selling to underagers. I also think that games designers should design more alternative games for those that simply don't want violent games.
Or am I living in an idealistic world? dunno
