My confidence has been boosted 110% if not more biggrin
Before i lost a lot of weight my self confidnce was rock bottom,so loosing the weight certainly the confidence i have gained from what we have done so far is invaluable.
I still have body issues and i think i always will do but i feel better about myself now than i ever have :D cool

One or two of us have issues with your body as well Clare wink
Or at least.........We wish we could
I'm a single fella completely new to the swinging scene (having not been able to talk previous partners around, plus not really being sure myself I could see it through), but I think it would increase my general confidence.
If I'm very lucky I'll be getting my first swinging experience this weekend (in the process of arranging), so I might have a better idea come Monday! (here's hoping we get on well)
I'd never even got as far as talking to people on the phone to arrange a get together before.
Maybe it's just increasing age decreasing my inhibitions, making me more open minded and adventurous.

... i have a huge body confidence issue ....

I can't see any reason at all for you to have confidence issues with your body.
Perhaps I need to make a much more detailed and intimate examination though ;)
But seriously though, it sometimes seems that a lot of women have body confidence issues for no real reason.

The reasons can be found in most adverts and fashion articles in magazines where anorexic women are portrayed as the norm.

LOLOLOL believe me, black and white pictures hide a multitude of sins rolleyes like Clare I've lost a significant amount of weight and still am ....
I used to be superfit .... 10k road running and cross country three times a week, perfect size 10 and kids has robbed me of fitness and shape. Taken me a long time to feel sexy at all.

Looks like youve stolen the shape back! - no need for issues from this angle
When I first started swinging I did have some confidence talking to people I didnt know. it was part of my old job Training people.
But sexually I was very shy, hated my body well the extra lumps and bumps and didnt have any confidence really.
Now I have confidence and wont turn a hair at having sex in front of others or in a group. It really has brought me out of myself. What i like most, is in the Swinging community We dont look for what they call a "normal" body size like the world outside you dont have to be a size 10 with legs up to your armpits. No matter what size you are your made to feel sexy.
Another plus is the friends Ive made along the way, friendships that will carry on for a long time.
And being able to talk to like minded people about any problems or issues is a bonus. Like when i had my stroke, being able to discuss issues and topics related to it, and know theres like minded people out there, who fully understand how your feeling, bring you out of yourself, and make you more sexualy adventurous
Theres a lovely Community spirit on this site and I love you all for that kiss

Very true, of course. And it is hard to stop yourself being brainwashed by media nonsense on what people should or should not look like.
I certainly fall outside of what a guy *should* look like according to the media. Screw the media! smile
For those curious as to what I look like :)
Ye swinging hs boosted my confidence nd made me feel happier with myself. Also met 1 guy through swinging that taught me more about my sexuality than ever and I have to thank him for that.
Although I don't swing at the mo I coulldn't bear to leave behind some of the fantastic friends I've made here. It's a great place and one where I feel at home
Thanx u lot worship kiss :worship:
Calista,Clare_Lincs and Shireen all seem to have "issues" with their appearance/bodies.
I can say from experience that there is nothing wrong with Shireen's body. wink
And looking at the media available I can see no worries for Clare or Calista.
I think its perhaps a woman thing that they always have something to wish they could improve about themselves....A kind of built in self improvement programme..
The media is responsible for this....If they used women other than the extremely slim tall leggy type(not that there's anything wrong with that type of woman you understand) then I think things may be different..
Everyone has their preference on which body type they prefer so we aren't going to be everybody's cup of tea but I think if a little self confidence is evident then we all can lead happy fulfilled lives...
The same could be said for the guys as well...
I am average hieght...5'11" but weigh around 16 stone and have a larger than I would like tummy....Doc's would say I was overwieght for definate...
My appendage is nothing to write home about and I sure aint no Tom Cruise/Bradd Pitt so I got one or two issues of my own but I dont let them stop me trying to have fun and neither should all you lovely ladies...
 smile  :)
