Why is it that people find intelligence sexy and a major attraction......????????
Is the fact that they can string more than two words together without saying 'um'..?
Or they've travelled to different countries....?
Or have ideas and opinions not necessarily of the 'norm'...?
Can converse on many varied subjects...?
So what is it that you find attractive in an intelligent person.........?????
Or do you find the airhead image a turn-on..????????

I like intelligent people cos I can talk to them on an equal level without having to reduce my language to that I would use with a three year old rotflmao
Only kidding :smug:
Must admit I do like the blonde airhead look, provided the subject is gagged and never gets to speak
This time, I'm not kidding boink
Not sure what the travelling to different countries has to do with intelligence though.... they let stupid people travel abroad too, you know.................... lol
smile
I like/love intelligent people. Thats why I talk to myself a lot on here wink
lol
Fred (was it me that said that?)
stringing more than two words together without saying 'um'....is not a sign of intelligence either. That just makes them articulate. They can still baffle you with bull-shit.
Good Q, EP!
I do find intelligence a turn on, but not the high IQ, 'ive been to uni' kinda of intelligence, I like people who have lived fully, travelled, listened, talked and experienced their way through life. This gives them an intelligence that can only be picked up by experience, this gives them an edge, something that makes them different and stands out to me. Just the way they carry themselves and have that confidence is sooooooo sexy

whip You've just given 90% off my own answer. Like you MrsGen, I prefer the type of intelligence/experience in people that have graduated from the rather clichéd University of Life.
The only thing I'd add, from a bloke's pov is:
I think most know I have a "thing" for horny blondes redface (not always strictly true btw)
but "cute dumb" doesn't last very long before it becomes just "dumb"
I've fallen foul of that in the past. That's not a reflection on anyone I've met or been on SH with btw.
Cuteness (?) can and does make me smile - inside; but these days I find the underlying basic intelligence far more attractive.
As I've read in other people ads, posts and comments - it's good to be able to have a conversation between shags :lol2:
Maybe I'm just growing up a little ??

Well I have cuteness (your own words to me), intelligence and im a dumb brunette, does that work for you Dammie? wink rolleyes
Intelligence is an attractive feature in a woman as it allows a more involved relationship than just sex or basic communication. The ability to learn things from the other person, share with them your wisdom and have an exchange of ideas is a big plus in a relationship. Intelligence also allows a greater degree of quick wit and humour at current affairs instead of basic and dirty humour (not that there's anything wrong with that lol   ).
But intelligence is only an attractive feature in those who already have it. After all, you don't want to go out with anyone smarter than you

The boring answer is instinctive preference for a genotype. Most people are attracted to people who are similar to themselves, or similar to their ideal self-image because our genes want to be immortal. Of course, the need to procreate is not as pressing as it was a billion years ago and we can afford conscious desires that over-ride the genetic programming, but the basic instincts are still there in the hard-wiring and we still tend to go for what we subconsciously perceive as desireable innate traits.
I love my girlfriend - she's hysterical.
2 examples:
*Talking about how many bags we carried home each from shop*
F: I carried at least half of them!
M: No you didn't!
F: OK, a quarter then!
M: Not even that!
F: Alright, a third!!!!
-------------------------
M: Look at that - 51% of the students in that school passed their GCSE'S - thats all and they're proud!!!
F: 51%? Out of how many?
lol
She's priceless she really is!
Intelligence can be sexy, but theres so many personality traits people can have that intelligence can not the only attractant!

Er, wot do u mean like?
There are a lot of intelligent people about. If they are more than attractive and smart with it, socially capable and listen and enjoy the company of people, and have the energy to party on, they have a better than average chance for sexual success.
But eggheads and boffins lead 'odd' lives and often end up with pretty crap sex lives. For some, education can completely remove any connection to the pleasure organs.
Good point made by duncan. Some ridiculously intelligent people i have know quite literally struggle with real life, let alone sex!
You can be attractive, witty, charming, humourous and intelligent - and then lack the ability to make a move - which in turn means that people are too intimidated by the person because they consider he/she to be unattainable, so they don't make the move - so somebody who ya would think upon first glance would have men/women crawling all over them has a very squalid sex life!
Life - a funny game!
