If I do do it myself, yes, I iron t. towels, towels, sheets etc, but not socks or underwear, daughter does those lol

Have "friends" in the forces or ex-forces as they tend to be quite good at ironing wink

Yes but if you ever do thier ironing for them, they moan like hell that the creases in the shirt sleeves are in the wrong places  lol
And then sit in a local pub and moan to others off this site about it     and when asked what they had just said, repeated it!!!!!!!!!!!!
i agree with the "tumble dryer brigade",
i have not ironed anything for about 6 months.. and only then it was because the fuse in my dryer had blown!!!!!!!!!! lol
anyway.. the tousled look is in fashion! lol

Should I not Iron my underwear then NN? Perhaps that's where I've been going wrong. I often wondered what that funny line was!!!!!!!

Yes but if you ever do their ironing for them, they moan like hell that the creases in the shirt sleeves are in the wrong places  lol

But there shouldn't beany creases in shirt sleeves. Or across the back from the armpit seams. Or running in a perfect line from the shirt pocket button to the second belt loop of your trousers. Or two creases running from crease between the armpit seam, vertically down, divided the back of the shirt into equal thirds.
STOP IT ! ! ! ! !
The only thing worse than creases in shirt sleeves is double creasesin shirt sleeves.
Ironing boards ?? Best thing I've ever ironed on has been a 4' sq Formica topped table, covered with a blanket. (remember them - blankets?)
Confession
While I was with MkII - an archetypal Northern "housewife" she would sulk if I tried to do anything for myself. Knock up a bacon sandwich, washing, you know the sort of stuff. Well after about 7 or 8 six years, I'd sort of settled in to being "looked after" One day when she was busy chatting to friends, I had decided to run the iron over a shirt so as not to distract her from the crucial task of discussing the latest hair colouring and tinting techniques for ladies.
Cue the redface surprisedops:
I had to stick my head round the kitchen door and ask her, much to the amusement anddisgust of her friends
"Where do you keep the iron?"
And don't evenstart me on MkI  Houseproud ??????? :scared: bolt
In contrast - I'm not sure I ever saw MkIII with an iron in her hand in the 5 or 6 years we were together ! ! She used the "tumble dryer" method.
Now that I'm on my own - I even have a washing line outside  and am back to "doing" for myself. Including my ironing
*db; waiting for the weekend's dirty clothes to finish washing, it out to dry; then press it just the way I like it.
To those of you who enjoy ironing....... best of luck.....
To those who don't........ lol..... life is too short..... get it done for you if possible....
