Cuids in manchester is charging me £75 as a single guy tonight, god 50 quid membership fee and 25 for the visit , god , we are known as a couple there, i am on business on my own, and no 75 pound, now thats greed, i understand charge guys more to put them off, dont agree but see why they do it,but i really dont think i can afford to go on my own anymore, any thoughts>>
Well you would only pay the £50 membership once
I'm sorry but I agree with the pricing - if u go as a single u r charged the same as other singles there - and vice versa for a couple!
You may be known there as a couple but you're going alone, so why shouldn't you pay the single guy rate?
Most clubs charge (re-charge) if a couple turns up as a single male.
What I disagree with is the different price/membership according to sex... its not really to cut down on single males as that could be done purely by vetting and having quotas.
Sadly as they are mainly "private members clubs" the sexual discrimination laws dont, i believe, kick in over the disparit prices.
i amnot saying i shouldn pay a single guy rate, i am saying they charge too much for guys, and the 50 quid is for one year membership only, couples are cheaper than guys also, ? wor kthat one out
Still comes down to most couples wanting to meet other couples and not single guys. Clubs make it more expensive to allow for that, by putting membership out of the price range acceptable for most. It also means more revenue generated for them along the way. Would you want to go to a swingers club if it was full of single straight men?

Possibly yes Venus. There must definitely be other ways for them to reduce the number of single male attendees. By the way, the question about going to a club full of single straight men was aimed at carolseandevon (I wouldn't mind in the least  lol).

Only been to one club, on one occasion, with a couple.

The reason the clubs charge less for couples ....and sometimes free for single ladies is just to encourage more ladies to join....think about it do you really want to go to a club and find a hundred single guys standing around and no women all because it's the same price for all !
What about normal clubs offering free drinks to females on ladies nights? I don't hear any single men complaining about that!
It's the same form of marketing is all.
