Awwwwwww! Still no snow here, but if it's snowing in Skeg........ biggrin
I do love the snow, just could do without it this week, we moved house spring last year, so this will be our first year experiencing snow in our current location - just remembered that we live at the bottom of a fabulously big hill, this could be interesting......
WHERE'S THE SLEDGE!!!????

we had a lil bit of snow, just enough for last years kittens to chase it around the yard as it came down,
wrats xx

Aaawww animals are so funny to watch with snow-especially if it`s the first time they`ve seen it.
We had snow in Manchester. I went into a restaurant on Sunday afternoon, it was raining when I went in, when I came out there was great big thick flakes coming down but it was wet and slushy so wasnt sticking.
Then later in the evening I opened my front doot and was suprised to discover about an inch of snow allover everything.
I love the silence that snow brings, it blankets all the sounds and everywhere seems so peaceful.
Bloody cold though!! rolleyes
Though the sun is shining here in North Leicestershire, we do have a small ground frost and the usual car windscreens are frozen.... hope you alll still have anti freeze in your car's!!!
I felt the icy wind when I went out earlier and the ground is dry too, so should we get snow it may well settle instead of melting
woke up this morning to see snow all over
had to clean the old peeps path next door .
The border of North Yorks and Co. Durham, west of the A1 is flake free  and I'm gutted, I wanted to play with snow men and snow balls today!!!
Might have to play with men and balls instead!!! wink

Snow in South Shields this morning, but not much, just an inch or so.

Snow in Teesside too. It descended sometime between 6am and 8am.
Too little of it for snowball fights or sledging, enough of it to turn into slushy puddles. Bah!

Thames Riveria still snow free
who can remember the last time we had a good covering of snow. I do miss the snow last time i can remember was when i live and work in leicestershire in the 1990s
Ahhhhhh yes... that would be the heavy downfall that took the power lines down too. No electric around Leicestershire for about a week..lived in the kitchen as had a gas cooker to use as the heating, cooking, kettle lol had to bag and bury our freezer food in a mound of snow in the garden and cats came along and dug some out lol
Ahhhhh the nostalgia

It think it was was 1991 when we last had it bad but it was flipping excellent. We ended up leaving our car in the middle of no where and walking to my parents to stay over for a day or two.
Local shops by us were closed. We brough milk off a milk float that was stranded. Bread of burger van in the middle of the main road.
I want snow :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We've got a beautiful sunny day here. If it wasn't for the wind chill of about -3  it would almost feel like spring biggrin

That'll be the trains grinding to a halt then rolleyes
It always amused me when I first came to live here (Bristol) that a as soon as a flake of snow appeared, majority of people didnt go to work as the weather was considered too bad to travel. An inch of snow and buses, cars etc come to a halt...... it creates gridlock in the centre which impacts on the rest of the road network.
I was used to the hard frozen snowy nothern winters and was used to walking miles in 2 foot of snow to get to school.
Ive come to realise that this city is never prepared for bad weather and have no idea how to... and were expecting snow this week so doubt my staff who live a mile away wont be coming to work. confused :? :?
So far its freezing, frozen ice on paths all day and a lovely cold wind that make ya cheeks burn....... love it! smile

It started snowing at about 11pm last night while I was still at work and I had high hopes of a fair covering this morning but my hopes were dashed sad
Yes!
Aaaw doesn't snow look pretty???
Just a light sprinkle like icing sugar.. that may well melt today but more snow is forcast as on the way tonight smile
Yes had well over 2 inches at 4am and been trying a little to snow again since. However unlikely to last too long.
