Think closed shop for a Munch Res- a venue which on that night caters only to members. They can discuss Felching and only have to worry about being overheard by bemused bar staff.
A social could be a bunch of reprobates trying not to be overheard talking Felching in a corner of Weatherspoons on a Saturday night.
or
something like a camping social- a bunch of reprobates singing songs about Felching round a firepit in a field.

not so, many of the socials we have been to have been just like munches in many respects ..just without the restrictions of no play or who you can invite .. bar staff at both kinds of events have always been able to over hear whats been said..and both events have been other than that closed rooms to vanillas.
btw not many munches ive been to and ive been to shedloads have been play free..another myth busted ,
staggy and rose
when the host of derby social books the room they have to pay for the venue so we are very willing to contribute , thanks for all your hard work cock slut xx
if we go to a social its norm a pub n see what happens later...
if we want to go to a club , we go but not for a social ... being that newbees would be put off....
its nice to meet up with peeps yr spoken too n put a name to a face we have had a few parties here with rules,,,, bring condoms that fit,,,,,,,bring a bottle of booze,,,,n be polite to all....they have been very good n when we wake up in morning the place was so tidy u would of never known, any one that makes money out of cpls n single fems should be banned
thats what i think any way

The original idea of socials and munches, was for people to meet in a neutral/vanilla enviroment usually a pub to get to know other swingers with no pressure to play, and yes someone was making money, the landlord...

Indeed... but if you were too new, then you could not get on the list, and often the music would be so loud that unless you could sign, you didnt stand a chance of getting to know anybody lol

but its now being twisted as Fabio says...every other week, its someone's birthday and they happen to be holding a social at a swingers club for every tom, dick and harry, which seems like a veiled attempt to just get people into their venues.

I have been to around a dozen "socials" that have been advertised on this site and held at Chams in Darlaston.
The vast majority of them have been held on nights when the club is dead, and they offer reduced entrance fees for couples, single fems and single guys.
Most importantly, they will often allow single guys into the club without being members. I personally sat on the waiting list for 8 months at chams before I gained my single membership there. Several of them have also provided a buffet at no extra cost to the people attending.
I think you will find that its the party organisers approaching the club, rather than the club approaching the party organiser.
Finally, having spoken to a number of people at Chams who are not members of SH, they often read the LMU forum and if the socials look like they will be well attended, they turn up anyway and join in the fun.
Again we have been in contact with another couple who was having a private party, now only to be told, there will be a charge...this really is beginning to piss us off, they say this was for the cost of the apartment the party is being held in,right the apartment they are renting because they have other business(non swinging) in the area and hell why not get other people to pay for it!! mad

Mr P, if you think people are on the make then report them and, if the site can do anything about it, am sure they will.

Thanks Noladreams, thats the first thing i did this morning...if we wanted to pay we would have just gone to one of our clubs...one with an outdoor swimming pool, jacussi, sauna, themed playrooms...not some private house with a couple of bedrooms.
