Hi people,
I have noticed that swinging now seems to becoming more and more acceptable and more common within the UK.
I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing myself.. but I thought I would see what other peoples thought on it was.
Would be nice to know how long you have been on the scene within comments smile
ofcause the internet has opened things up.....and so people become more aware of it. I myself joined this site in 2004....before that I thought swinging was simply for couples in suburbia that threw keys into a bowl !! I never knew there were swinging clubs on my doorstep ; i never knew anything about cannock chase and the dogging scene ; I just didn't realise just how many people were or at least have been involved in this world.
Lets remember 10/15 years ago......homosexuality was frowned upon, and considered morally corrupt by a large number of people. Now it is an every day occurance and generally accepted.
Do think....that as more people read, and learn about swinging, it will become more mainstream and open. And a world where people accept people for what they are, and are non judgemental of their sexuallity, is surely a world we should all welcome.
There is still lots of intolerence towards homosexuality - I pick up a fair few comments for the way I look and it's all homophobic stuff - and that's in the big cities. It's much much more tolerent in general than it used to be but there are still enough knobheads out there to make life less fun for a lot of people.
As for swinging - I don't think it's more mainstream, just that sites like this don't feel sleazy... now whether that's a good or bad thing is open to interpretation - I kind of like sleaze :>
