I have heard recently that some footballers have lucky underpants they wear.
Others have lucky pendants they carry, and others have a fav toy or something.
I cannot think of anything that I have used that I think will bring me luck. I tend to think my lucky number is 7, but to date I have never won anything on that number.
Have you or anyone else you know, had an item that you think brings you luck? Or dont you believe in that kind of luck, and that you make your own luck in life?
Nope nothing. You make your own luck in life, I'm sorry if I'm bringing a downer on lucky charms but I don't believe in them.
They say superstition is held by people who are not in control of their lives.
They also say that those who have faith in God are less likely to succumb to illness.
Believe what you will - all I can say is that none of my lucky charms have worked lately but I know I'm one of the luckiest people around.
.
A old indian saying.
Prophecy is whatever one makes it, but destiny cannot be changed.
I don't believe in lucky objects or luck 'rubbing off' but I totally believe that a positive attitude makes others behave more positively towards you and that can help all sorts of things happen.
Wearing lucky socks won't stop a piano falling on your head, but it might make you feel that fraction more confident and that can change what happens.
And I do feel you make your own 'luck'. Case in point: I had recently taken on an 18 month lease. I needed to move out and back to my own home (was buying it off my ex). I was tied into the 18 month lease and would have had to keep paying that along with the mortgage - absolutely impossible on my salary.
I wrote to the agents and asked if it was possible to cut the lease. I got a letter back saying the owner was moving house and was quite happy to have the place back so he could store stuff while he moved. He agreed to me cutting the 18 month lease to 2 months.
Coincidence that he could use the house, possibly. Lucky, no - I asked, I got. There was as much chance that he would have said 'no chance, pay up'.
dear Mr JB thinks he gets lucky when he comes home carrying flowers, choccy and wine.
Yes, it works for him!
