Having posted a few light hearted threads since I plucked up the courage to start posting (you lot of regs are not as scary as you first appeared lol

)I thought I would post a more serious thread.
I wondrered if members felt that swinging and real life were totally separate entities, sort of running parallel to each other.
What I mean is that when you are on site either in the chat rooms or here in the forums, do you/would you chat about real life issues such as your kids, pets, your health, the decorating/shopping/school issues etc (now I dont mean in detail, divulging your private details, but in general terms.
Or for instance would you chat about a hobby or interest as in....look what I crotcheted yesterday, guess what my son did this morning and so on
or are such threads inappropriate because in swinging land its all about being sexy and flirty and the real world doesnt encroach on this one. Can you/do you pretend that when you are on here you have no cares or worries and no problems to deal with, and use the site as an escape for however long you are on here for.
I know its deep for a sunday, but just been pondering this for a few days. How do others see it confused

I think its a case of how well you know the people and in some respects what type of a person you are, some people dont even talk about personal stuff to the people they work with never mind cyber friends so im pretty sure they wouldn't come on here and do it.
On the chatrooms however, we have all sorts of conversations i was chatting to a couple of people who i know well from the chatrooms about decorating and the building we are having done recommending good firms etc so i guess that answers the one about us coming on here and chatting about everyday stuff lol

I guess the answer is, some do, and some dont!!

Well on the whole we try to keep them as separate entities, for two reasons.
1 That I want to feel like a sexy, uninhibited woman when I come in here. Wiping snotty noses doesn't sit that well with talking dirty. I'm Mum and wifey at home, on here I want to be a sensual goddess (well I try anyway! lol

)
2 Privacy. At least till we get to know people well then we talk more about day to day stuff as is inevitable, we become friends.
We talk about a lot of stuff, sex obviously and what we're looking for is our priority in chatting to others but we also like to get to know people before we play with them so a good way is just talking about general stuff (giving out no personal details obviously).
Think I've contradicted myself...bugger...I know what I meant...I need a holiday!

Mr Bone LOVES landys.....I am THE OTHER woman in his love affair with his....which he calls Lara (after Lara Croft...BI-ATCH!!!)
His is a 1972, tax exempt, series III 109 long wheel base safari, and he adores it lol

I think when hes in the chatrooms, I will direct him to the Kent room if there are other likeminded peeps in there :lol:

When you are on the internet, you can be 'whoever' or 'whatever' you want to be, whether that be the sensual, sexual goddess, or the girl next door. It doesnt matter, no one knows you, its anonymous.
For us, our time on this site, and our private lives are two very different things, but over the years we have been on here, I have noticed mored and more that they have started to become much closer. We now find that a lot of our social friends are off the site, and we seem to spend less and less time with our non-swinging friends. Its not something we planned, but I feel it has happened because we now feel we are more able to be 'ourselves' with our swinging heaven friends and are not afraid of offending (or having to think of 'excuses' as to why we didnt answer the phone, or who owned the car parked outside our house all night) redface

Another thing with Swinging Heaven, is that a lot of people from the forums and chat do get to meet a lot of the others, either via meets, or at socials. I found that this did impact on how I posted and I started to talk about things other than sex and swinging. Maybe it was because I actually had met a few people, or maybe I just felt that bit more comfortable and confident joining in with the banter.
I now find that I do give away more personal information about myself in my posts, than maybe I would have done when I first joined the site, but I still do keep the 'identifiable' information private to people I actually know and trust.

NWC, maybe once mr bone and I have met some people at the wigan munch, and put some names to faces, I will feel safe enough to reveal that one of my hobbies is sugar craft and making novelty cakes........ooopps thats let the cat out of the bag :P lol

Im not brilliant at it but I enjoy it, and maybe I will post up a feww things I have done sometime :lol:

Well now, from the above it is obvious that...
A) You can discuss absolutely anything that comes to hand - a few of my recent cybertopics have been the joys of parenting teenagers, the gastronomic delights of the black and white puddings, the evolution of prejudice in society and under-the-table naughtiness in Starbucks.
