The site changed too much for me to feel it's comfortable as a home....but things change so you never know!
I just don't have time to post on 2 sites as regular I'd like....so I don't!
I agree with all of the above but have to admit it's much busier in the chatrooms here...which can be a bonus, at times, and it's quite easy to ignore the cams when you don't want them

I mean I would'nt mind but the reference contained considered and balenced views in favour of SH perhaps we will see references to other commercial enterprises censored as well.
I'll try this post on XXXXXX to see if they show the same approach to civil liberties and free speech.

Phoenix is right its never been allowed, if it was the site would turn into a spamfest.
There are 437k odd members registered on the site, I'd put the active at a lot higher than 90% though, a lot of people visit Swinging Heaven every day and we have had to up the number of servers in place to cope with it.

Appology... 90% was an off the cuff figure, but it is still not 437,000 odd active members.

Went to see the Red Squirrels at Formby Nature reserve last weekend, they new bugger all about servers or chatrooms, but were equally as elusive as the genuine meet

I've been told by 2 or 3 different people (that I trust) that although the cafe/forum seem important to many; it/they only represent something like 20% of site traffic. The other 80% being the Photo Ads. And that was before 4T.
How much "poetic licence" was included in those figures, I don't know; but I'm fairly sure that the 2 or 300 "core posters/munchers" make up only a tiny fraction of the whole site.
I've just done a blank search of the Photo Ads. it threw up 189,484 results. Compare that to the 2 or 300 hundred.
I realise that the more cleverer people can make figures, numbers and statistics say pretty much anything, but I'd be inclined to agree that main portion of the whole site is within the Photo Ads.

Dammie unsure on the exact figured but I am guessing you are close enough. The photo ads section has always had massive amounts of traffic compared to the forum.
The pictures that get up loaded into the ads section, at a weekend can be close on one a minute :eeek:
The increase in the chatroom is pretty shocking. It has gone from 80/120 people of an evening to sometimes as many as 800/1,000. Many of which do not post on the forum.

I was having a think about some of the comments I have been reading (in here and other threads) regarding the 'before and after' or 'THE CHANGE' and trying to list what had changed or more importantly what effects the actual admin changes had on the way I use the site.
The conclusion - BUGGER ALL!
I log-in - no change there.
The colours have changed - but I can't remember what they were before anymore.
I can post - same as before.
I can send PM's - as before
I can chat to people - as before
I can arrange to meet people - the scope there has improved slighty in my opinion

If you say "it's the people and the atmosphere" - well then that is your fault for only coming back here to winge about.... well.... the fact that you and people you know moved. That is not a change the site made.
I am a member of other sites and I fail to see how another site with less members is any better than this one (as it stands at the moment). In truth I have noticed that for some time a certain other site was just a repeat of this site - a re-run of old SH posts being recycled.
If you have a preference for another site - don't make all of your happy repeat threads there and only come here to moan about how much it has changed. You wouldn't like it if people came onto your other site and only pointed out how much of a copy it was, how unoriginal it was, how that thread was pretty much a cut and paste of the one you had done before on SH, how the idea of a thread had been nicked from one on SH. I have even seen two of my thread subject/titles being recycled by someone else.
You would not think it acceptable for people to come onto your 'new' site and only post to point out what was wrong/crap. I am sure you would kick up a fuss. Think of these people as rude and trouble makers. Eventually start sending the gossip PM's asking for someone to take action and make them leave....

I've been loking at this site for a while - but never posted.
I'm a bit confused over the changes: do you have to pay for some bits now. In some of the adverts people are putting their email addresses in code saying "they are not a full member". I thought this was free.

I am confused ! Its free but "my membrship expires on....." I do consider this site to be the best for what it is but my main interest is not now so much "swinging" but more the fun to be had in the community cafe! Although I subscribe to various other sites of various nature, the forums could be said to be of bland, almost predictable input on a given topic.
Here however input can be much more than the predictable. I have long given up any sort of physical contact simply through ad's and therefore consider myself less as a player but more of a understanding other. I can converse with all types here be that Gay, Bi , Couple or Single with no aliegence to nor hostility against, in a very good and wholesome way.
