yes i know.
But after this season i have decided the time has come to quit racing around on of the reasons is because as ive got older the bikes have got quicker and im just not able to keep pushing myself harder and harder to maintain the standard needed to fling a bike into a corner at nearly 200mph.
The toll on my body is just too much and with the injuries from past crashes the strain to hold on and force the machine is now to great.I am having to train at least 4 hours a day just to keep up and its not getting any easier.
Another reason to stop is that my insurance and health care costs go up with each year and this year the bill has tripled because of my age.
I still will retain a part time development job working with one company on the bikes which are to take the *-series into the future and testing models early on the roads.
I also badly need shoulder surgery and that means a year out to rebuild the later i leave it the harder it will be to rebuild the joint and put other things right.
So thats going to be it after the winter testing and party (if valentino wins) biggrin
and if you see a totally black bike with no headlight on it racing by just wave.
*dusts off the nursery outfit*
someone say nursey outfit
I suppose you could always stick a pair of kids stabilizers on the bike ty wink
Does that mean you're looking for a good woman now wink
it means i'll have more time for one what you got in mind? :taz:
Aaawww I can understand your reasons but I bet it`ll be a wrench for you to step back.
Once a biker always a biker.
I still miss my CBR600 and it`s been 7 years since I had it.

A bad one may be more fun though!
i still get to ride new bikes on the wont be able to go on track and ride the race bikes.
But i got some nice bikes at home so things wont be do bad.
I think my life has been dedicated to it for long enough now.
