Well as my contribution to Saint Andrews Day and being a Scot myself I'm gonna run up the street with nothing on and holding a Scotland Flag above my head.

Have I arrived in this thread too late too see this?

Just kiddin,

You mean you weren't really going to do that!? I'm gutted!
I was sitting here, all excited too! Imagining some sexy bi fem running about with nowt but a flag...
It's a bit cold though, but I'd wager you real scots are used to that, right?
smile
cute accent the scots have, too, well, it's cute on the girlies! :)

There will be plenty of shoogling about at the ceilidh that's for sure.
I think Dinny Ken is related to that Ronnie Gill bloke that I always here them looking for in Newcaslte

Yes thanks - but I'm no expert in identifying tartans. Apart from the Dress Stuart that is cos we were all made to wear it on high days and holy days even when in BAOR mad That's the white-based one.

will a black leather one pass ?

Now we know why they call it TARTan. lol

Not sure that's technically a kilt - more a loin cloth I think. My views on black leather kilts are well documented here wink and any man turning up at my door wearing one is guaranteed a very hot wet welcome.
hump :hump:
oerrrrr even found frogster wearing a kilt ..def catching ;) lol

Does he turn into a Prince when kissed - got the kilt at least??
:P

Brings back memories of Saturdays at Ibrox - mutton pies and Bovril 'yeugh'
:P
I have investigated Ice Pie's Tartan and discovered it is the ancient clan tartan of the McFingerbobs.
And everyone knows Killie Pies are the best!
CQ
I know it's not tartan but I'm sure glad to see the saltire back again lol

rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I thought they got murdered at Glencoe??
And I have heard about Killie pies - never tasted them though. The thought of the ketchup being poured through the hole in the top is enough to make me not want them! Sorry, but at least Kilmarnock is good at something.
:P lol

nooooo Jags please don't start singing scottish songs. we'll all have to join in and sing completely out of tune and start crying about the old days and stuff . . . . ;)
but just for today can i be an honorary scot?
ah dinnae have a kilt though, but i am allowed to wear the buchanan tartan, descended as i am from a long line of yuills, which as you all know, is a sept of the clan buchanan, whose ancestors were viking settlers on the Island of Yell in the Shetland Isles round about the 9th century. my family's always enjoyed the odd bit of pillaging so they have!
i'll maybe have mince and tatties for me tea, with neeps maybe who knows, and then i'll dig out me mam's old andy stuart records, and sing I belong to glasgow in an awful whisky induced howl . . . and say things like name o' beef ((( i still don't know what that means FGS and it's been 30 odd years of trying to work out WTF me grandad was on about god bless him? dunno )))
slanje!
n x x x ;)
((( best point out i'm describing a typical xmas with me family here, and not stereotyping scots in any way! just in case! ;) )))
From the songbook of the mighty Sidney Devine:
Oh, it’s cryin’ time again, you’re gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me darlin’ oooh
That it won’t be long before it’s cryin’ time
Now they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder (fonder)
And that tears are only rain to make love grow
Well my love for you could never grow no stronger (stronger)
If I lived to be a hundred years old
Oh, it’s cryin’ time again, you’re gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me darlin’. yeah now
That it won’t be long before it’s cryin’ time
Now you say you’ve found someone that you love better (better)
That’s the way it’s happened every time before
And as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow (’morrow)
Cryin’ time will start when you walk out the door
Oh, it’s cryin’ time again, you’re gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me darlin’. alright now
That it won’t be long before it’s cryin’ time
(that it won’t be long before it’s cryin’ time)
:P
Ok
now wishing I'd never started this....... not enough short tartan skirts (or men in kilts for the Lady!) and now Jags is talking about old Syd!!!!!
I'm changing our avatar back !!!!
Sno' fair
