I offer a few explanations:-
1. An "on-line" service requires a certain degree of technical knowhow in order to access it. Men are more proficient in this area.
2. Women are too busy cooking, ironing, washing, watching soaps etc to spend time online.
3. There are so many "men seeking women" ads that women don't need to spend time composing an ad - there are plenty to which they can respond.
(by the way - I'm told irony doesn't translate well when written)

I make an observation about the massive difference in the numbers of ads posted by men and women, with a comment that it's very telling. Yes it may be an obvious comment, given the fact that having been registered for no more than a couple of days I happened to note that ads count at the bottom of the page, but who'd have thought your tender nerves could be so easily touched?

Chocolateknob, the comments aimed at you thus far have stemmed from you citing a few figures, which we already know roughly. That's because we've been here longer, some of us have actually looked at the ads and others have been told the figures repeatedly by people who come on here and think that they are the first to notice (and are able to analyse what that 'tells' them). Perform a search and I'm sure you'll find some of them.
Some of the comments on this thread have been an attempt at humour/sarcasm simply because lots of us realise what the figures mean. Some of them have been comments aimed at your name. You are taking the comments the wrong way and being very touchy about some of them. As Judy pointed out, you are fast alienating yourself. There's no need to be unfriendly, the comments were not meant in a malicious way - they rarely are. Chill out.

I thought someone had already made a large number of fake female ads already - as most do not even reply or are inactive... I know there must a lot of married and attached women out there looking got discrete no stings but few reply to adverts.
I would like to humbly apologise for my earlier comment which I thoroughly retract. I honestly did not, in any way whatsoever mean for the post to be considered reasonable, intelligent, or even legible, these being hallmarks of my other half (who one day WILL post on here, just her machine's in the shop getting fixed, and she hates my laptop's keyboard).
