Hi,
Out on the M4 near Cardiff today and again as I approached the on-slip at a junction, cars were joining the motorway and expecting traffic on the motorway to slow down or change lanes for them. The highway code says that you should join when clear to do so and not force other drivers to change speed or direction. On several occasions when I haver been passing an on-slip drivers have got visually abusive because I didn't allow them on, principally because I had traffic to my right and behind. There are some morons out there who think they have priority. You can tell from the car (body?) language when someone is 'asking' to join and those that just barge out. I'm more than happy to let the polite ones out even is it is safe to slow or change lanes. Anyone else pissed off at these morons?

Yeah - totally with you on your observations smooth2 have noticed the same and feel as you do
I always stay in the fastish lane in the middle to avoid the problem altogether.
where we are the junction i need to take is literally 300 yards from an entrance .. if they think they are getting me to move over they can think again .. there is no way i could move over and back again in order for me to get my turning. and the ones who do slow down get on my nerves as well slowing to about 50 because the ones joining are also slowing down ... get real folks and learn to drive on a motorway before doing any of these actions.

personally I find my driving is governed by my own mood, and also the music on the radio if im feeling blue and radio plays heavy metal then the boot goes down, yet if im happy and a soft mellow song is on i chill out and slow down. as for juctions I hate being behind 25mph approachers trying to speed up actually on the motorway.
I remain convinced one is exempt from this highway code malarky provided one has facial hair and sports a natty flat cap, glasses and a briar pipe.
And the ones who say - "eyesight? Passed A1 fit in 1941 - why would I need glasses?".
Freckled totally agree........the key to good/great driving is observation. Then best using that information.
Me4......don't hate the truckers, hate the person/people who decided to have them all travel within +/-1mph of each other!
On Dave's theme...Dual carriageway going into three lanes approaching a roundabout with three other exits coming off it at 9 0'clock 12 0'clock and 3 0'clock. Why the f*ck do so many cars approach on the nearside lane intending to come off at 3 0'clock? Does my head it does.
On the question of the roundabout, it depends on the sign; where the exits are marked and the thickness of the lines as to what lane you should use for entrance on the roundabout.
Ie the sign might be different to the actually roundabout....I hope that makes sense now, haha!
