Jon Gaunt has been fired from Talksport. Haa heee haaaa

Have you ever come across a person who's attitude or personal viewpoints are so arrogant that they really get on your nerves.
To the point that if you see or hear them you need to flee & almost run away confused:
Well I had this everytime I had the misfortunate to either tune in or watch Sky News on a morning & this lovely fella would be on:

Jon Gaunt.
Now I really enjoy Talksport, good Presenters & heated debate yet this fella just has the attitude that he can slove the nations issues in simple terms.
Gaunt is the type of person that sees things as either good or bad. If the situation is complex & you don't agree with him then your a Liberal goody two shoes.
Well I knew that sooner or later he would get in some very serious trouble due to his obnoxious attitude.
Guess what, he got himself into so much trouble that he lost his job. Justice has been done.
I never knew why Talksport ever gave him that job anyway :?: I hope they give his former slot to George Galloway (another Talksport Presenter), now that would really hurt Gaunty (as he likes to be known by).
As he dislikes with a passion & he made this known many times on his former shows,
'Gorgeous George Galloway'. The irony of that if it where to occur.... biggrin :twisted:

ive only listened to talksport now and then but i see rod lucas has lost his job because he is a member of the bnp and was on the list leaked on the net.
Ithink the only person ive listened to and enjoyed was ian leigh (sorry if spelling is wrong).

Well well well well............ I wondered how long it would be before somebody heard the news and posted it in the forum, for no doubt my benefit. :shock:
I have heard the interview, in fact I was listening on that morning. Yes Gaunty was way over the top. You cannot go around calling people " Nazis ", and get away with it. Talk Sport lost their bottle after Redbridge council threatened to sue them.
Galloway the " knob " was thrown out of Parliament for saying very similar things over the Iraq war. He kept his job though, but Gaunty lost his....that's life.
Gaunty will be back trust me, as when Talk sport lose advertisers they will realise a mistake was done. His was the most listened to chat show on the UK radio..........fact.
I believe Gaunty was right on many things, he was proud to be British and felt that the British way of life was being changed. He stood up for what he believed in unlike others who just sit on their hands and bite their lips.
Wunder I am not going to be drawn into why I liked him and your obvious attempt to wind me up hence the PM, informing me of your thread. I wonder what your objections there were? dunno
The only thing I would say is I would rather have one Jon Gaunt, than a thousand Galloways!! My signature says it all really!

This is a knee jerk reaction to a person saying the wrong thing. When I say wrong thing, I mean something he didn't mean to say. An apology should have sufficed..........but not to lose his job over one slip. I do not support many if any of his views but I do not think anybody should lose their job over one slip. I have called people blah blah Nazi i.e. someone who says my way or no way, in the past. I do not mean they are the Waffen SS or anything and I believe this bloke didn't either.

John gaunt was one of the best in the business of telling the jumped up jackbooted jobsworths that is so prevelant in today's society especially councils what utter twits (with an a) were. that's why he was hired. Having listened to him for years, and got his book and went to his live show, I think the fella was great, did ya notice the long pause when that idiot asked had gaunty ever been in care :D

Yes the guy went very quite...a wally in my eyes.
Just for those who do not understand " Gaunty "..........Sony award-winning Gaunt, who also writes a column for the Sun, has previously broadcast on BBC London 94.9, BBC WM, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and BBC Three Counties Radio, where he won a hat-trick of Sony Radio Academy gold awards in 2001.
Oh look the guy is so rubbish he even won Three Sony radio awards!!! The people who slate him I wonder what the fuc- they have ever won in their jobs? A plastic spoon to put in their mouths probably.

I must say that you have a lot of bottle & for that I really respect you.
Even that we have diffrent views, you stand up for what you think. So I respect you, Sir.
As for the wind-up.... just a little banter from Liverpool, that's all.
Jon also writes for that 'lovely paper' The Sun.
You know the issues between our City & that paper if you can call it that.
How will you cope Kent, now your hero is off the air.
Everyone can be replaced, he might of had the most people listen to his show but I wonder who Talksport could get in his place....

I would guarantee you that any of the above would gain more listeners than that Jon Gaunt, ever did.

Have you ever won anything for your job of work? I do not mind you " goading " me over the sacking but, what I did not like was your Pm to me.
You really think I am that bothered that he has been sacked by a radio station that has no bottle for a fight? The first sign of court action and the boardroom wallys run for cover.
If you really think you have heard the last of him, then think again. He will be back bigger than before, with a station that does not turn yellow at the first hint of a lawyer knocking on their when that happens I will be first in line to let you know.
Before I depart from this waste of a thread space, I really would like to know what hidden agenda you have for disliking the guy so much??

I've said all I want to.
Kent mentioned that he would return like a Hero saving Talksport.
Well I gave my view on others that could the same job if in my view not better.
Am done with this as I've said what I've said... it's all good banter in my view.
