jumping in at the deep end (i.e tips, hints & stuff)

hey folks, well i'll not waffle and make a boring start, signed up a while ago, mainly been lurking, trying to see how the place works etc (admittedly though, it seems a rather tight knit community, therefore i didn't wanna post straight away). basicly i'm kinda new to all of this swinging malarky and was wondering if anyone could give me some good hints and tips to ensure fun and generally good times with swinging, maybe any other sites you'd recommend as well?
i signed up here and really like the layout etc, although a couple of others i've signed up to, and they want money i don't have just to reply to messages...... oh well, can't win em all.
anyhow, cheers for reading and hopefully i'll be posting a bit more soon. biggrin

Im sure you will have loads of fun on here and dont worry about the loonies, Im sure they will be along to post something very soon.

A word of caution........the forum is highly addictive, chatrooms are crazy.
Chatroom ops and moderaters are helpful if ya get stuck.{does that earn me a brownie point? }

i'd considered popping my head in the chatroom at a couple of points, but decided not to until i'd posted on here, my experience with chatroom affliated with boards is that you get a better welcome if you have actually posted first.
might rear my frizzy head into there later though.

Hints and tips.......
You seem to have gone about things the right way to start with. Tight Knit this is lol... takes a while to be accepted by some and no time at all by others... Take it all with a pinch of salt, don't be offended to easily... Mix and have fun.. Oh the Munches are a good place to start too, we have enjoyed the few we have been to so far!
Just get yourself known as best you can.. be yourself.

cheers miuke, i'd not adverse to the occasional dispute, my regular haunts are music boards, and one of them is notorious for harsh treatment of newbies so i can give as good as i get biggrin

as for the munches, i keep meaning to read about exactly what they are (my next port of call actually) but i'm generally a bit shy and nervous in social situations, if i like the sound of em though, i'll get myself known and appuire an invite.
