Just my thoughts on lifes journey

I see life as a journey with many obstacles put in place, at each obstacle you have to decide how to tackle them you can go around them thus avoiding them. Over them so you have to build up the power to do so. Or avoid them altogether so you turn your back on them and walk away. I have always found the need to tackle them head on, but it takes a lot of strength and energy to do so, some you go to jump but hit them and they fall over, so you don’t quite manage to clear that one.
What I have found is to tackle them gives you the strength to face the next and the more you clear the stronger the strength in you becomes before facing the next, after a while the obstacles become less on your journey so life becomes a lot smoother and the walk becomes a lot less tiresome and more pleasurable.
These are just my thoughts on my journey of life.
How do you see life?
Hello Lady Minx,
many true words and if only life's journey would become easier as we overcome obstacles. Day to day ones we can cope with and learn by them but something like cancer upsets any smooth pattern that might have been formed. My wife's breast cancer has destroyed any smooth path and it's devastating from the point of view of a swinging couple. First of all M has had to cope with loosing part of her femininity and then the chemo and radio therapy. She now has further problems associated with the aftermath of the op. From the male view and being a 'breast' man, I feel that I have lost one of my best 'friends' and after nearly two years it saddens me when I think about "what has the surgeon done to her?" M's loss has taken our relationship close to breaking point and I cannot start to tell you about the bitterness that I feel to whoever it might be that decides who will receive these illnesses etc. Whilst our relationship has suffered and we will probably never swing again we have to be grateful that M is still alive and able to see our children and grandson those who are able to chart a relatively easy path through life, enjoy it while you can as there might be an un-scalable mountain around the corner.

Hi smooth I can relate to you very closely as last year my mum was very suddenly taken ill within minutes of talking to her. 15 minutes later she was calling an ambalance and going to hospital. Two days later we were told she had cancer and had to have her kidney out. She was at t3 progressed and was told it had been there for about 5 has been on medication sinse and has had awful side effects.
I guess that time I really started my questions on my own life and what is important to me and what I no longer need to concern myself about. As up to that point my mum was so well, it gave me a wake up call and I suppose we take stock of life and realise you never know what is around the corner.
I don't just accept life any longer I want to enjoy it to as you never really know.

How do you see life?

Obstacles that arise that are out of our control, are not always possible to avoid, so maybe a head on approach would be the best to tackle them.
Obstacles of our own making, well thats another matter completely, these ones can often prove to be the most challenging ones to over come!
Still on your journey then Minxy?
Come up north on it yet? wink lol
