in my experience, as a single bloke . . .
first meet was a fairly rushed, fairly random meet, with a couple from the chatroom. i'd not been on the site very long at all, and dropped lucky. they came all the way to leeds and got the hotel, and i just had to turn up. i was shitting myself, for days, right up to the time to get the bus and taxi to the meet, and only the combination of desire and the probable timewaster tag as a newbie got me there . . .
luckily for me it was a kind of soft swing MMF! i.e. all the good bits, without the pressure, so as good an intro as i could have hoped for. it went bloody well for me, and i think they had a good time too, and we all got exactly what we were looking for.
there have been meets that weren't so good. some were plain bad, for me, and her / them too. some were bloody awesome! some were beyond my wildest imaginings, and taught me a lot. but . . i know now not all meets will work. when they do they're amazing, and i always hope for them, but it's not nearly so easy as i once imagined. even very recently, i struggled like hell. you just have to not let the difficult stuff get in the way of the good, IMO.

Im really nervous about my first meet but Im sure it'll be worth it in the end! Must admit this website is the best thing ive found on the net in years. Spent hours over the past few days on here. Its amazing how many people activley take part in 'swinging' I thought it was a very isolated thing, infact at times I wondered if anyone did it at all. Never imagined it could be this widespread, seems the next few years are going to be fun!!!!!!
