after numerous funny comments and joke ive decided to see how many kayakers we have! me and my bf are them so theres 2!
Done a bit.....am shite at it...I can capsize whilst sitting perfectly still!!!
Love it though.... biggrin
have done it and loved it (it was a long time ago) should really find a club near to me and get back into it.
Used to teach it to kids for a company based in the Wye Valley... Canadian too - that's the canoes and not the people smile
I used to be part of the University Kayaking club.
I was crap at it and nearly killed myself on my first and only river run on low water in the Welsh Valleys.......... but that is another tale! lol
I'd love to get back into it but I don't have the time. Plus I prefer rowing now.
I used belong to the kayaking club when at school, but id prefer to do white water rafting i think now, which i havent done.
a long time ago i was a member of a group in manchester but then came a family and time was short ,dont even think i could get in one now plus it to bloody cold
I thought kayaking was going to be a euphemism for something (not sure what though !!)
Glad to hear it's just rowing down a river smile
cool
bring back canoes rolleyes
I had a go at this, but the water was just too damn cold. I tried putting a little paraffin heater in the front of the boat to keep me warm, but the whole thing caught fire and was ruined.
And the moral of the story is..........
you can't have your kyak and heat it! bolt
Did it at school.... loved it... don't do it now... Kinda stopped doing it because I wasn't good enough to hang out with people who do it regularly as a hobby, but was too good to be doing 'kayacking courses'.
Does indoor rowing count... I quite like that these days.... don't think I would as good at the real thing owing to my lack of co-ordination.

Sounds like you were thrown in at the deep end.
Come on, spill the beans on your near death experience... were you pinned or was it just an unpleasant swim ?
Never been interested in water sports! lol
Although I have been known to play with my 'little man in a boat'!!!
