Ok, one of the kids has lost the remote control for the telly and the only way we can change channels is with the fiddly little buttons on the side of the TV.
So,has anybody used one of the "general" replacement remotes advertised in most leading high street stores.
Do they work? Can an adult set them up?
Failing that does anybody want to take up 8 hour shifts standing by the side of our telly with your index finger poised on the volume and channel change buttons?
Get off your arse lazy bones! :giggle:
£1 shop, yes they work and are easy to set up xxx
ian i used to cum in from work and check the sports chan and every fookin day ended up shouting "wheres the fookin romote " so much me african grey shouts it at me as a i walk in thru the door its now taped to the dvd remote but thats another story...
the pound shops remotes do work and also the universal remotes as well
you could also try ebay for replacement remotes as it could be cheaper there for them
than at a replacement remote shop
I'd make the kids look for it, under the sofa, under the cushions, under the rug etc etc.
Tell the kids you will give them money for finding it.
Or take money off them if they don't (assuming they get pocket money etc?)
Or don't feed 'em till they find it?
Don't know or even care if it works but I WANT ONE NOW
Update...
Remote control is still missing.
We've hunted just about everywhere we can think of. Under chairs, down the gaps between the cushions of the sofa, everywhere.
Went to a pound shop, they didn't have any remotes, however we did end up spending thirteen pounds on a total load of crap I don't suppose we'll ever use.
I've even checked in Dawnie's cleavage (several times) and can confirm that it's not in there either
