Oh my God, surely the viewers of Kilroy would have heart attacks if they found out what some of us get up to :shock: . Whenever I've watched it they're talking about benefit cheats and the like, hey, maybe someone should go and tell it like it is wink

. If anyone has the balls to go (I DON'T!!!) good on you, maybe we should think of some form of reward for anyone who does it? A tee shirt with "I love Swinging Heaven" would be great on air, just don't try to show viewers the Swinging Heaven penis :shock: :shock: :shock:

I did the Kilroy gig many years ago about a totally different subject. But this isn't the first time Kilroy has done Swinging.
Mark, write back and tell them to contact Ian from Scorpio... he's was lined up for the last show but had to pull at the last minute. (No... not *that* sort of pull out!) He was dead dissapointed as he wanted his 15 minutes...
If anyone does go, tell him I would certainly not kick him out of my warm bed on a cold night. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

mark as a visual basic programmer i know you can easy clone a email address and before you ask it wasnt me lol honest guv nah it wasnt but i can clone email addresses so it maybe fake they wouldnt use caps surley or is that to make it stand out from other emails?????

We have to say no way I'm afraid..... I went on the show a few yrs back as a seat filler whilst I was studying sommunications. All was going great til the second show they filmed which was about having affairs with the babysitters. They deliberatley moved me to sit in between two old guys who had been cheating with the baby sitter and set me up to look like I was said baby sitter and therefore an evil person to loads of people and got grief for a while by people on moral high ground. Amazing how many people really watch the show......
Shame thou..... more people should know about some of the lovely people on this site. Maybe they'd realise that swinging isn't a swear word but something that a lot of GENUINELY nice people do....

We all have them, I had them when I arrived in the forum. Nothing wrong with having them, as long as we do not let them influence our attitudes and behaviour towards others. If programs like Kilroy truly aimed to provide education and experience and remove preconceptions, then I would be all for it.

I remember reading something in one of the strings about mans infinite capacity for stupidity. And (IMHO) there is no greater stupidity than thinking you know it all. (teenagers excepted - that is hormonal smile

hi we are of to kilroy tommorow ready for thursday robert is a very nice chap lol

we have met him twice before and what a great guy nice hotel in london picked up at the train station took to the hotel evening meal in the bar then breakfast pickedup took to the studio in teddington buffet then filming then buffet again what a great timev you can have meeting new swingers as well

Would never try and critisise the personality of someone I did not know.
The question was whether the people who control the content and editing of the show seek to educate and inform in order to give social attitudes a chance to change, or does it re-enforce stereo typing through sensationalism. Or worse, does it not care what it does as long as it gets bums on seats?
In english, how does the show leave non-swingers feeling about swinging?
Much too serious this. Don't object to the show, or the subject it is looking at. My concerns would only be enough to stop me accepting an invite to the show, not about to go placard waving and stamping my feet.
Call it low level sceptasism. I don't KNOW what the objectives of the programme makers are. The knowledge and experience I have to date leads me to speculate that their objectives would not be mine.

I think in principal that it's good that programmes that attract a "mainstream" audience are interested in addressing topics such as swinging. However, like Kat I am sceptical about the programme producer's motives about discussing such subjects. I'm not saying that they shouldn't, I'm saying that they have to discuss them in a balanced way rather than just sensationalising more "extreme" or "news-worthy" elements of the scene. As I rarely watch Kilroy I am perhaps not the best person to comment about the programmer's motives and I certainly wouldn't want to comment on Kilroy personally - especially as the swinging programme hasn't even been aired yet. I hope some people on this forum will get chance to watch it and comment on it afterwards.
